Could a version of the map without India be released before India is actually finished?
I started compiling a list of "proper" Russian baronies for the revised edition. I'll render a raster with original Rus, Ruthenia, Perm, VB baronies over the weekend. I guess you'll want to do the steppes yourself.

Okay, Volga Bulgaria is done. Paradox strikes again, picking every barony except the titular one from a completely wrong location for several counties around Volga-Kama confluence. I'll post the rasters tomorrow evening or on Saturday with recommendations where you'll be better off freehanding the borders.
Sweet! Once vanilla is done, I'm going to lay out a rough "Design Document" for each reason, with expected design goals and province density.
In the mean-time, here's another WIP. I expect to make a big push for Central Europe tomorrow. This is about the full area I expect to show on the map, by the way.

You're not also doing Labrador and Cape Verde, aren't you? The former will probably be terra incognita but the latter... Cape Dakar wasn't really circumnavigated until late 15th century.
Or... a thought just struck me — Vinland?
Damn, i really can't wait for it, you're awesome Crackd !
Great scope for map, except you should prevent the possible circumnavigation.
It looks like you're missing Unzha and Vetluga rivers on your map, they are important for drawing Rus-Mari borders.
Great work, as always! But can you split zhmud (zemaitija, samogitia, whatevs you call it) in two? Itd make tuetonic order late-game borders viable. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/2c/Deutscher_Orden_in_Europa_1300.png
Thanks! I'm moving as fast as I can. Once the boundaries are redone, making the map playable is super-easy.
Well it seems these past few days you've been making some fast progress, so i am totally excited for it !
Although i have a question , is the plan to make one map ironman-compatible and another not still the plan ? Because i've noticed in those screenshot you've been showing us that mountains, especially in the georgia area have been heavily changed.
Thanks in advance and keep up the great work friend
Edit : Nevermind i just zoomed in and saw that the mountain pass is still here, just way smaller than it used to be, so i guess that also answer the question about ironman compatibility![]()
Paradox aren't German, they're Swedish. Didn't they also manage to mess up Scandinavia of all places though?Who would have though that Germany of all places would be bad...
Paradox works in mysterious ways. I foresee much, much pain for Crackd to do Russia. And even more pain to do Persia. And even more pain to do India.I know, but it's like England or France in that it's well attested with relatively stable structures throughout the entire Middle Ages...
