I love this mod so much, but is there an option to avoid helmets that completely cover a character's face? The ideal solution would be to only have them have the full-face helmet when they are a Knight in an Army, but I'm guessing that isn't currently possible?

Anyway, this mod is AMAZING. Such great work.

It is for vanilla. They only wear armour and helmets during wartime unless they're the marshal. OP is currently going through 1.1.2 to see what is missing.

Thank you ! it's technically possible. For now they just have a reduced spawn ratio. Each full face helmet has 6.5% chance to be used by a Western culture character but sugarloaf helm (1.63%). I have not yet made up my mind about the best solution here but what is sure is that there will be no "option". I won't code some option menu nor maintain 2 versions of the mod.

There is currently an issue with it indeed, it's under testing in release candidate and will be hotfixed tomorrow. TLDR: dukes were able to use their "war crown" while being at peace.

Side question, you prefer Trello over the native github project features ?

Absolutely, I wanted to have 100% github setup initially, but I got used too much to trello over the last years and I find it much more dynamic, ergonomic and visually understandable.

That's only part of the problem though. No one (landed or landless) except the marshal should be wearing war gear when not a war. Vanilla equips armour only when at war.

@El Tyranos
Hello and thanks for your simply amazing mod. Tbh, I can't play without it!

I have a few clipping issues with:
a) Nasal helmet noble (working as designed on some characters and on others it clips).
b) Nasal helmet tribal (everyone).
c) Viking beards for Normans.
d) Normans using Drakkars? (not 100% sure about it I'll need to recheck)

Plus a few other observations. Do you need-prefer a full bug report here or on STEAM? I could provide screenshots and more details here ofc, since it's easier than STEAM.

Thanks again for your work,
Cheers!

Thank you ! To answer directly to your points
a/b : is known issue, nothing that I can do for now, check https://github.com/ElTyranos/CommunityFlavorPack/issues/29
c : I don't get what the problem is, clipping beards is mostly an issue from paradox as they are not all compatible with hoods yet
d : Normans used drakkars. Source: I'm Norman. Check Bayeux tapestry ;)

If you want to send suggestions, feel free to post 1 card per suggestion on github issue tracker.
Otherwise you can also join CFP discord server to discuss them : https://discord.gg/tmb7cXT

Thanks for the detailed explanation and your effort to improve the already great mod ;)
For the a-b (known issues) I hope you'll manage to fix them at some point. I had a feeling heads are the culprits, not a huge problem though, since I'm using the barbershop mod and if it clips, I just change the helmet. For c, It's just a cosmetic choice, I'm talking about Normans having Viking-style beards on 1066, not clipping.
As for Drakkars, I have read about their use pre-1066, but tbh I wasn't aware they still used them at a later point, so thanks for letting me know, and yeah it's on Bayeux tapestry indeed, I have read several of the most important studies about William's conquest, so I don't know how I've missed that

Can't wait to check your next update!

Cheers,
G.S

Hotfix v1.71 is out

Thanks for the update! I'd like to ask-report a few things, just to be sure they're working as designed.

1) Count's heir and Chancellor using the duke circlet with chain mail armor during peacetime?
2) Count's heir and Chancellor (not a knight during, peacetime) wearing armor and helmet?
3) Unlanded Knights also using the duke circlet with chainmail, plus the ducal and king crowns and crowned helmets? Both HRE and Western.
4) Unlanded knights, not wearing helmets but crowns, when commanding armies during wartime? Both HRE and Western.
I can provide more info, pics, and my savegame, or comment on GitHub if you like. Just let me know ;)
Cheers!

PS
3,4 issues fixed by reverting to the previous versions ''gfx/portraits/portrait_modifiers/01_headgear.txt'' file. (unlanded Knights wearing circlets instead of helmets).

But now the count's son (1,2 issues) wears a Nasal Noble helmet and armor (not a knight and not in any kind of war) check pic 14.
Good thing is that's a small issue (for me) compared to Knights wearing circlets and crowns :p

So I guess by trying to fix circlets and helmets for HRE and Westerners in the latest update, you have accidentally changed something about Knights headgear.

~ Improved: Normans to use their own specific "norman_war" headgears and clothings instead of "western_war".
~ Fixed: typo in french localization.
~ Fixed: UNPLAYABLE MOD. Peasants wore duke circlets over mail coif when they revolted. You have no more reason not to execute them now.

Any reason why I can't access most items from the HRE pack, except for the Reichskrone and the armour? I don't know if it's CFP, but something's acting up.
I don't have them in vanilla game anymore either. Does not seem related to CFP.
I think is a bug with the recent hotfix 1.1.3. I read complains on the thread of the patch.
