on the No-FTL utility_component, maybe you can slap that on to the reactors (or on the weapon if it works) and then make the weapon energy requirements large enough so that the dream reactors must be used to power a weapon?

Looks good, I appreciate the effort you've put into some of the cooler features like targetting planets for modification. I look forward to seeing what the other options contain if you're still working on it.
