As it seems the reoccurring CDTs are gone and you managed to fix the mod, are other modders aware of these fixes?
The conclave update caused all this, right? Every mod have had these CTDs after it.

Are the reasons unknown why these fixes help to reduce CTDs? And why removing the CB-file and ongoing wars did temporally fix the reoccurring CTD?
Not that it really matters, most important is that they are gone, I'm just curious... :rolleyes:

At least the Warhammer mod is somewhat aware of everything done here and has taken similar steps, with varying success depending on the processing power of the tester's rig.
As for other mods, I don't know about them. But all in all, Conclave did not do any favours in regards to mod stability in general.

What other mods have the same crashes? Ah, I'm sorry, but I don't remember what mod threads I read, but I was left with an impression that other mods have similar problems. :D

Also, I'm sorry to inform you that I got recurring CTD :( after removing CB-folder it doesn't happen. Going back about a year also fixes it.
And I AM using your latest upload and I started a new game.
I also have a powerful PC.

The Return of the Learned Monster. (Sort of DevDiary).

The Learning skill has for some time been replaced by the Bloodline Score, which made the BS stat nicely visible but which also brought many problems. The main issue was the necessity to redo all the vanilla traits, events, ambitions which used, altered or checked for Learning each time there were new files introduced. The tech points are hardcoded to depend on Learning as well. Also the ability to sort characters by their bloodline score to pick desired spouse/bloodtheft targets wasn't fitting Birthright mood well.

Learning is once again Learning and the Bloodline Score is now visible as a tooltip when hovering mouse over character's portrait or over his/her bloodline derivation or strength traits.

If you read anything, ANYTHING AT ALL, on the last two-to-three-pages, you'd see the answer clearly. No, not yet. The fixes have only been found recently.

Not really, Cyberspider removed bloodline scores entirely. Bloodline scores are still as they have always been, but now you just have to hover over the portrait or the trait to see what the actual number is. And the upside is that high bloodscore no longer gives crazy high tech levels because learning is back.

Is the latest version, which I think was April 4th, playable without CTDs? I know you guys are working ona new version but was just wondering.

I rushed the last release, so I m not gonna rush this one :p Also, it seems that the upcoming patch will break mods, so even if the CTD is fixed (JonStryker ran a 70 year test without one, but Achab and I still get them, so we'll still have to figure out why that is) it is better to wait.

The Birthright Mod (Take II, because the earlier attempt seems to have died out, so I started a new one).

Features:
-A total fantasy conversion for CK II, bringing the Birthright (Dungeons & Dragons campaign setting) to life
-A continent-sized map, 900+ provinces with 6 different races of men, in addition to elves, dwarves, halflings, giants, goblins, orogs (orcs) and possibly wraiths
-Thanks to Lonhaldar from the MEP Mod, we have custom portraits for elves, dwarves, halflings, and goblins/orogs (and possibly wraiths)
-A bloodline system derived in 6 godly flavors from when the Gods destroyed themselves at the monumental battle of Mt.Deismaar, and their powers seeped over the surviving combatants. Strenghts of the derivation range from tainted, minor, major, great to "True" - though only the twisted Awnsheighleen who gained immortality from absorbing the essence of their dark god Azrai are still alive at the 1526-date bookmark
-Speaking of which: Unique creatures known as Awnsheighleen, those who either fought at Mt.Deismaar and lived through the centuries, or those later descendants who became corrupted either by bloodtheft or by their natural inherited powers awakening
-Additional "Realm Magic" spells based on the Birthright campaign-setting rules
-Character classes based on D&D (Fighter, Rogue, Priest, Wizard, Sorcerer, Paladin, etc) ranging in levels from Amateur to Legendary
-Hopefully I can (with permission) adapt JordanDarkElf's duel engine to take into account these character class differences in duels. Fighter classes will be stronger at the lower levels, but to beat a legendary mage will take quite some skill - or extraordinary luck!)
-Better congenital (inherited) traits, as per the JasperClay mod of the same name
-Andddd anything else we can think of and manage to implement

Here is a viewof the map so far - special thanks goes to JonStryker's map-filler tool without whom making a 900+ province map with baronies, landed titles, cultures, religions, de jure set up, etc would have been an absolutely nightmare and 500-hour effort, and also thanks for his assistance in helping me get the map functional and create the basic height/terrain/etc maps. Note to future mod makers: Use the map filler tool! Also special thanks to Redit of the MEP for pretti-fying our map :)

Hmm, that's very strange, I have never heard of that happening before. Are you sure you are doing it correctly? It should be downloaded in a .rar file, and you need winrar or winzip or something similar installed to extract it.

That said, there are quite a lot of CTDs in the current version (though some people have managed to play for 100s of years), so be aware that the mod won't be stable until the new CK2 patch is released, whereafter I will upload a fixed version of the mod.

The version linked on the first (or second?) post in this thread is indeed updated to the current version. There is a random 10-20 year CTD relating to AI path-finding which we have been told by the devs is fixed in the next patch. If you get a repeatable version of it, temporarily remove the CB files from the common/cb_types folder, play a few days, then save and add the CB files back. That's the work around.
