Here is another small update on the current state of Birthright flavor.

The worries in my life have come to bring more pains. Don't mind the gfx please!

Don't forget to read that page about when that happened to Pyotr Tusilov. He even made a trip to the shadow world and all that. A nice read and good information for the event series you are crafting here :)

Sarimiere is March, not January. If you simply map the first month of the Cerilian year to the first month of the European year, your seasons will be out of sync.

IIRC the first month of the year is Sarimiere acording to the pdfs.

Yes, because just as in Roman tradition, the new year starts in March. The Day of Rebirth also happens to be the Spring Equinox.

Exactly what I criticised about the naming of the months before. 1.1 would be in another season if the Anuirean calendar would be properly applied.

So just align Sarimiere with March and assume that Faniele (Jan) and Pasiphiel (Feb) actually belong to the year before, just as Europe did before the assumption of the Gregorian calendar.

It doesn't seem that vassals do religious conversion. Is it intented or a bug? Also, i've noticed that many provinces in the south-west have unique buildings. I'm not too terrible familiar with the setting, so are there plans to spread those to the rest of the world :)? Also, it seems i cannot create duchies unless i directly control atleast one province in the duchy, which makes it hard to expand eventually when you hit vassal limit. Which happens quickly when you only got counties as vassals.

Religious conversion is based on the AI's zeal, high zeal = more conversions, less zeal = less conversions.

yeah about unique-buildings, its a semi-touchy thing at the moment, but I added them to give someone whom is not versed in the Birthright universe a bit of an understanding in certain realms/provinces. But yeah once the other regional modders finish up with their regions I will add unique buildings for areas of note/importance, so they get their balance and nice descriptions too. The duchy creation thingy I believe thats vanilla and somethings arent changed for certain reasons. (crappy answer I know).

The duchy creation thingie is my doing so not vanilla. Usually in vanilla the AI creats every single duchy that it can and that restriction is there so that it doesn't do that. Maybe it can be coded that the restriction only applies to the AI. I could also outright remove that restriction but then again I like it. I won't do it unless there is a consensus in the modding team ;)

Well, the point is they don't even try. They have 17 skilled missionaries, that simply does nothing. I tried jumping to several different vassals, and no conversions were going on with any of them.

As for the duchies, it just easily restricts your size :) And if you want to expand you either have to create them all manually by having a province, creating duchy, then giving both away, or ofcourse create really large and powerfull county vassals that have all provinces inside the duchy. Which makes them really strong :p

Also, how does lightning storm spells work? It doesn't seem to do anything, regardless if i cast it on a siege, or during a battle

I've kind of noticed the same thing, but I used the dragonfire scripts from AGoT mod, so I assume they know what they're doing :p The effect is not instant though, but perhaps it s just spread over a few days?

I've quite fallen in love with this mod :) it is really awesome. However there are a few things, one of which i pointed out earlier

1: AI Does not convert. Even after 100 years, not a single province has been converted to another religion.

2: How does culture flipping work in the mod?

3: rank 4 and 5 priests cannot cure themself of maimed.

4: Upgrading your bloodline from minor eventually to great does not give you more bloodline powers. Started with 2, still have 2, even with 80 bloodline strength. Children is not effected, they get the 3-4 they should get ( As far as i am aware)

5: 2000 piety for taking over a piety is really enourmoues. My suggestion is to keep 2000 piety against same religion/Religion group, and perhaps lower it to 1000 for a holy war duchy take over?

6: the AI does not really work for islands. The serpents expand, and then they get.. stuck. Not using ships, not moving troops on islands. Happened several times in my games.

7: You should be able to cure incabable. The Gorgon becoming incapabable is kinda amusing, as he lives forever... Shouldn't it be possible to seek out a legendary priest and become restored? OFcourse.. only if the regent approves.

8: there is currently no way to become an adventurer class if you do not start as one. Nor is there a way to become 2 adventurer classes, if you are a long living person. Using console ofcourse still works :)

9: Are there plans to implement holy orders for everyone? Or implement the creation of holy orders for everyone?

10: The lamia really should have some sort of charm spell she can cast on males, and homosexual females :p Also, shouldn't she have better stats, for someone who lived for 600 years?

I've quite fallen in love with this mod :) it is really awesome. However there are a few things, one of which i pointed out earlier

1: AI Does not convert. Even after 100 years, not a single province has been converted to another religion.

2: How does culture flipping work in the mod?

3: rank 4 and 5 priests cannot cure themself of maimed.

6: the AI does not really work for islands. The serpents expand, and then they get.. stuck. Not using ships, not moving troops on islands. Happened several times in my games.

1) The current way AI works on conversion is the way I'd like to keep, in BR it is a wide known fact that gods are the real deal, and there is no mention of people converting others in a wide scale to thinker with the conversion.

2)As far as I know there is no culture flipping.

3) I actually thought they could cure themselves! Consider this fixed on the next update, thanks for noticing and reporting it!

6)We should give some ships to the serpent to fix this.

8)For the next version, we could just easily A)create an option for non AI players to choose an adventuring class if they are past the age limit and don't have a class OR B)Just push the age restriction further.

9)Yeah, the holy orders are a work in progress.

1) For me conversion within the same group would make a lot of sense. Both within the cultural group (Anuirean > Brecht happened quite frequently) and within the religious group (the gods of good are all basically part of a single big pantheon; Changing the "primary god" should be quite easy.
On the other side I'd like to make it harder to switch religions in general. The once-per-lifetime decision makes it VERY easy. A human player can switch his religion willy-nilly. Contrary to what you said converting province religions is possible. At least I was able to convert more and more land to the Goblin pantheon. No idea why the AI won't convert provinces. The conversion chance depends on the religious authority of the two religions involved. Maybe that was the cause of the slow down.
4) Certain elements of the bloodline system are still missing, yeah. Blood Royal promised to work on them when he's back from his other modding endeavour.
5) We could do that if we at the same time restrict the CB to bordering duchies. Currently you can just take any duchy in the world, even the super-built up capital duchy of your most dangerous enemy.
6) We can't do anything about CK2's wonky shipping AI. The Serpent regularly takes those continental provinces in Ghourín. Why it isn't more successful only someone with knowledge of the internal AI mechanics can answer you.
7) The Awnsheghlien should just never get incapable / maimed / etc.; There's still some event that gives these events to them sometimes which we need to track down.
9) The "Anuirean" religions do have a number of holy orders already. Out of fairness it would make most sense to me to give all religions at least one holy order. Maybe depending on its size -> the Hydra religion might not really deserve one as it is very minor
10) Yeah, maybe. What would the effect be anyways? Making courtiers love you seems to be pretty useless in CK2. The Hag probably can do a similar thing if I remember correctly.

We should give some ships to the serpent to fix this.
They already have ships, they just do not use them. I trie spawning the ships for them, but they just dismissed them

The current way AI works on conversion is the way I'd like to keep, in BR it is a wide known fact that gods are the real deal, and there is no mention of people converting others in a wide scale to thinker with the conversion.
What about something like The Gorgon, Lamia or the serpent, who i can imagine might enforce it by the sword? Or the lamia simply just.. charming every man around :p?

Also, i think that while culture flipping shouldn't happen én masse, i can defintly see it happen on 0-2 level provinces, whom are generally sparsely populated, or if you upgrade a level 3 to 5? Tie it into the province level factor perhaps?
