Possibly. There are four messages in here, do any of them look like they might cause the problem?

No, those are unrelated. Are you using the workshop version? I got a lot of similar reports there but not on this forums download link. But I just compared them and they're still identical.

Are there leftover beterlookinggrabs/gfx/character/persian-*/ files? Does removing all the portrait_sprites_persian.gfx, portraits_persian.gfx, portraits_afghan.gfx, portraits_alan.gfx files change things?

"BLG/CC Ironman Compatibility" is not compatible with ironman mode anymore.
You can replace blgccironman/common/cultures/00_cultures.txt with the same file from vanilla CKII.

Making some guesses at bugfixing

01-09-2014
Merge Persian/Norse sprite loading in portrait files in a bugfix attempt.
Lighter (actually visible) mediterranean irisses, added additional brown color to compansate.
Set Volga Bulgars to steppegfx graphics.
Indian and Persian nobles use helmets when leading

Workshop: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=242601880
Download: http://www.mediafire.com/download/mzh5ora925d2nup/Better_Looking_Garbs_01092014.zip
Addons for mod compatibility: View attachment BLGCC Addons 09092014.zip

Instructions
If you do not have all portrait DLC, check the readme file inside betterlookinggarbs.zip to remove parts of the mod.

If you use overhaul mods or want to customize BLG, download and extract the addons package:
* If you use the SWMH map mod, play with both Better Looking Garbs and the BLG/CC for SWMH mod.
* If you use the Project Balance mod (without SWMH or Immersion), play with both Better Looking Garbs and the BLG/CC for PB mod.
* If you use the VIET Immersion mod, play with both Better Looking Garbs and the BLG/CC for VIET Immersion mod.
* If you use the Rex in regno suo est imperator mod, play with both Better Looking Garbs and the BLG/CC for Rex in regno suo est imperator mod.
* If you want to play for archievements, play with both Better Looking Garbs and the BLG/CC ironman mod. This disables several portraits.
* If you dislike the wounding and disease graphics, play with both Better Looking Garbs and the no disease mod.

Thanks for keeping this updated Nendur, I haven't played since development was discontinued and have a quick question for you if you or someone else wouldn't mind answering. I have donwloaded the the zips for the BLC as well as the add on and am wondering where do I extract the add on file to? You also mention specific types of files for SWMH and VIET for example but the add on zip only has one file inside, BLGCC Addons 01092014. Do I need something to open that to extract the relevant files for each mod? Lastly, I am playing HIP with a mix of SWMH, PB and VIET (at least that's what I chose on installation) so where precisely should I then place the relevant file from the previous question?

I think the addons zip was mispackaged a bit, the file inside is also a zip file. For any combination based on SWMH use the SWMH addon.

Is a compatch for the latest CK2+ in the works?

Excluding recent Persian etc DLC, many vanilla culture portraits (especially Anglo Saxons) as well as the generic helms are still simply dreadful. This mod goes a long way to improving this.
You're in luck, I was just about to post that:

Already had the monks added to the tonsure code. The cowls are a good addition though.

Hey mate...
So will you add cowls also???

How about Med. Portraits issues???
Is it possible to have them like they look before 2 versions??? (as others also requested)
Cheers

Brilliant. That was fast.Thanks!

Appears to be an graphic issue with the portraits of Turkic Emirs and above when they lead armies. This is from the CK2+ BLG. Also noticed it while briefly playing HIP. Both times using relevant com-patches.

Not sure if this is even a bug, since it occurs because they do not have any martial headgear. It doesn't look very pretty either way.
It was intentional, they follow the armour & crown model of most portraits. It doesn't work out that well with the Turkish armour style. I'll change them to regular helmets.

The mediterraneans got a few original parts back to fix discoloration in the modified portraits. What area needs more work on it?

We need to change them back to the previous versions, cause they look really out of place now if we compare them with the previous modified Med (you used) and CPR (still uses)...
The lack quality and this is Vanilla's fault not yours of course...

Please consider that issue...
