Agreed to this. Enjoying the new version, but I'd love to know how to make it compatible with the Mediterranean face pack.
Hey Rich, how simple would it be to adapt this to the new Med face mod? as I am apparently one of those who actually doesn't mind the look of it. Is it a case of replacing entires in the cultures.txt as it was before, or is it a bit more complicated?
The quick and lazy fix is :
1) delete or rename gfx\byzantine_female and gfx\byzantine_male
2) delete all entries for byzantine in \interface\portrait_sprites.gfx or rename to byzantine_old
3) in \interface\portraits_mediterranean.gfx find & replace western_ to byzantine_ througout.
That'll just replace BLC's byzantine faces and clothes with the DLC stuff, so you'll only get the new faces for Byzantines and female "light-skinned" muslims, not Italians and Spaniards.
Applying the DLC stuff to more cultures would require decisions on what parts to use for which culture so I'll leave that to richvh.

It's editing interface/portraits.gfx and portrait_sprites.gfx to use the information from the DLC portraits_mediterranean.gfx (which has both the portraitType definitions that go in portraits.gfx, and the spriteType definitions that go in portrait_sprites.gfx) for each graphical culture you want to use the DLC graphics. The cultures file shouldn't need to be touched.
Right, okay. That makes sense. Otherwise, if I want to use BLC, I just uncheck the Mediterranean portraits mod? (That is, if I want to use it without editing)... I don't know if you're going to make a compatible version for Med Face Pack. That's your doing or not. 
If you do a Med Faces compatible version you will have a lot of new players (including me) :happy:
I'm sorry if this was already asked, but what should I do if I don't like Russian Protraits, but want to use BLC for 1.09 version? Should I just disable the Russian Portraits DLC in the launcher and that's it, or there is some additional tweaking required?
i never bought the russian portrait dlc and when using the latest version it bugs out so i would say disabling the russian portrait dlc would not work.

Please dear Sol make a version fixing...I mean adding the Med Faces pack. I can't make a Ralph Macchio look alike, hell I can't make an Italian looking character who doesn't look like he's a roid rager and the women? ::shudder::
