[MOD] Better Looking Characters (more realistic and historical)

Hey Shaytana, I just had the problem Nitroholic had. I Alt-tabbed the game because I had some UI glitches (the character panel background being invisible).
In fact, those UI glitches are happening a lot. I'm using CK2 Heraldry and my mod, btw.
It's really strange since neither BLC, cultural cities or CK2Heraldry change the UI. I'm wondering if maybe there's a engine problem, perhaps many things needing to be rendered?
Can someone test my combo of BLC+cultural cities + CK2 Heraldry? After some time, the Ui will begin to glitch, backgrounds disappearing, etc. Is it only me having those problems?

I never had any issues but I have not been playing the game only let it run on observe...

If I would hazard a guess it could be the 27 frame system that pushes the engine limit?

EDIT: I would switch to a lets say 20 frame system if I knew that was the issue...but redoing the entire system on a hunch.../cry I lack the willpower atm.

Very strange... I have 0 issues of that nature with the current version. I honestly have no idea what's going wrong for you.

hmmm.. this is really weird. i re-installed the game and im not running any other mods and it still mismatches.. anyone have any ideas whats causing this?

Did you allow the .exe to use more than 2gb of ram?

The only thing I can think of is the 27 frames system that goes to the limit of the engine... I can't think of anything else I implemented that would cause this...it's strange I don't see it on my computer maybe its also tied to a memory issue...

I'm going to sort of play a game now to see if it happens to me as well...if it does I guess I can try to go back to less frames, 21 maybe... but I honestly think that tediousness of re-editing all the files to a 21 system is going to kill my enthusiasm for working on this mod permanently hehehe.

I've made it to 1078 fooling around - 0 issues still...will fool around to 1100 maybe, if nothing happens I honestly don't know what the issue is.

It may be a RAM issue. I've got 4gb on this computer and haven't noticed any mismatching.

Do this (sorry I copied and pasted from my mod instructions): download cff explorer. make a backup of ck2.exe (location of file can vary depending on where the game was bought - for steam it is in C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii). open ck2.exe with cff explorer (right click on it and it shows up), click on "file header", click on characteristics where it says "click here" and tick the option "app can handle >2gb addresset". click ok. save the file. do the same with the ck2 launcher. play the game

Oh, forgot to mention, this has only been happening in 6B. I played some time with 6A, and had no problems. It's really strange.
By the way, are you using with cultural cities too?
edit: Will test 6a to see if it's really a 6b problem.

Ugggh. sorry to be a total buzzkill, but i forgot to check off the BLC mod when i restarted the game ... tried it againa and it didnt actually fix it for me.. Again, thanks everyone for the help and suggestions tho. Shaytana i wouldnt worry too much about this problem. dont wanna add more work for you, because i dont think it affects very many people.

:blush: Well I still don't get what's causing it, because I have the game running on my desktop and my laptop, it can go on forever from what I see and there's no issue whatsoever... on either. I'm going to restart the game now with cultural cities mod enabled too, maybe BLC + it will overstress the engine and I get to see the issue myself.

It's now 1090 in a game with Cultural Cities enabled............and............ 0 issues. I honestly don't know what's causing the issue for some people... so unless someone can figure it out I don't know what to do about it given I can't even replicate the issue at all.

Seriously, please take a break and slow down. You are overworking yourself, and on top of that people don't have enough time to try each version before you release another.

No offense or anything (your work truly is amazing) but just... take it easy buddy.

Also, what does the cultural cities mod do? Is that the same idea as Syren's mod, which adds new building chains for each culture? Why does your mod cause problems with it?
