Just to illustrate a bit an item in the latest version changelog :
--2017-12-09 for CK2 2.8.1 changelog---

ARMOIRIES :
[.....]

Minor :
[.....]
-various addition for christian random coa (a few templates and emblems for now - more to come later on)
So this is just to new emblems available through the CoA customizer under "Crusader kings" CoA style.
neo_coa.png

As you can see, you have now a "two gold leopards passant on gules" as coat of arms "heart", and "three gold leopards passant on gules" as coat of arms "chief".
You can add them as additional layers.

This customizer part will be improved in the future, as well as some regular CoA patterns and options I am working on.
Also, when i know that giving access to CoA DLC stuff through the customizer what somehow a demand from players, I wonder if this need to be maintained, because I'd like to do some cleaning and in the meantime giving features more clear. Let me know your feelings about it, you players.

Nice work Arko. ;)

PS
A quick question if I may.
I want to remove this wooden background.
t5LAnjM.jpg
I think they are the only ones having them, so it's a bit out of place for my taste.
Could I make their religious panel background similar to the other religions ?

Cheers.

You'd have to look into the religion icons strip ~named deco or such. I can check the exact file name later if needed.

Other mods your are using definetly breaks the outliner.

Should i delete or modify this icon strip then ?
Well it's even in one of your pics posted earlier. So it shouldn't be a conflict I guess.

PS.
I'm not 100% sure cause I rarely play with Pagans buy I think this wooded background, wasn't present in the previous versions of religio_deco.dds Right ?
So if I just copy paste the religio_dds file from the previous version should I be ok ? or I could loose something important etc ?

-Modify or you'll get a CTD
-texts are misplaced and with wrong colours in the outliner in your screenshot.

-yes it's new until 2.8
-not exactly, vanilla added some new religions in latest patch. You'd need to copy paste only the part(s) you need.
I rarely play pagans aswell, mostly because they all used norse themed interface even if mongols or aztecs or africans...

Yes my outliner is a bit off, due to Gothic tool tip and some interface editing I did.
I'll try to modify it, I'm not good with graphics though. I just want to make it blend in, nothing special really. If you'll find the time could you take a look and try to make it a bit like the others ?
Thanks for you help and advice. ;)

No need to disturb the master, Arko has more important things to do!
Nah srsly, that's pretty easy. If you can live with two minor things, I included a file for you in this post. Had to put it in a .zip so it would upload - just extract it and overwrite the normal ARKOpack version of the file with this one.
The issues:
a) I have chosen no compression. Frankly I dunno if this has any consequence, but I have problems saving it with compression in GIMP, and it works fine in my games. I also can't see what the original compression of the file was, so might well be that this is no issue at all.
b) I indeed just swapped out the graphics for the religions in question (Slavic, Baltic, Finnish) to their old versions. But this means they won't have the fancy new "glow" around their edges (yellow for main, red for heresy) that the latest mod version has introduced. Just a minor cosmetic issue really, as I didn't bother to update the icons, I just copied them.

True. That's why I immediately noticed it and included a warning ^^
But yeah, longer term you can just revisit the textures. I generally like the special backgrounds, they give the religion icons uniqueness. However, that wood thing really does not fit so well, probably because it is more "nature texture", while the other backgrounds are more "ornamental".

Yes it is a bit difficult since the ornemental side is supposed to be laid on some parchment, but the wook recalls the wood of regular pagan texture.

Since we were just talking about how cosmetics and details are everything: The "Shia heresy" icon within the decorated strip is positioned exactly one pixel lower than the regular "Shia" icon.

If actually Paradox could fix all more than 1pixels wrong alignements or positioning...

So since today I woke up with a welcomed reminder from @Ese Khan to fix the wiki link icon issue (where it was often hidden), I fixed that issue, accomplishing an old wish of mine, even besten by latest 2.8 patch content...
So here is what it gives as a side-panel button.
wiki.png

I've also made a cleaner version of CoA frame with less black & white reflections . Mind that it is still work in progress since bigger size looks good but smaller sizes are not that good ATM.

Could we have these fixes with the next HIP's update ?

That idea of "siide panel buttons" is pure genius!
Indeed. ;)
