I noticed you wanted to have a thing where you could make someone an immortal by giving them an honorary title. I don't think you can make events fire with gain_effect, but this will work:
Code:
title_immortal_god = {
	dignity = 0.05
	realm_in_name = no
	grant_limit = 1
	opinion_effect = 10

	allow = {
		NOT = { trait = immortal_god }
		prisoner = no
		age = 16
		FROM = {
			ai = no
		}
	}

	gain_effect = {
		add_trait = immortal_god
	}
	lose_effect = {
	}

#	message = yes
}

There's no chance to get any extra traits, though.

LMAO, I pissed myself laughing lol

I'm certain you can trigger character events in the gain_effect clause... I have my entire title system set up around it. I just fixed the last bug this morning at 5 am and went to sleep. Some characters didn't want to return home/died after their titles were revoked...

I've pretty much tested the new version out already. But the previous alpha version is buggy as hell lol

can't believe anyone managed to play through that.

A new version will be up soon, possibly tonight or tomorrow.

Not many new features except alot of tidying up of code and increasing cross-mod compatibility, bug fixing, replacing the broken retinue system.

Hey I just downloaded your mod, and i'm enjoying it immensely but I was wondering why you were using a TXTORG file in the decisions instead of the normal text document files.

It's an old habit of mine to rename files I am not using/old to name them with org behind a file extension. I keep them as reference material. It's supposed to be named that way, it won't be used by the game cause it can't read txtorgs

For example, i am editing a .tga or .dds image, I'll place it in a new folder to see the effects. I'll rename the original file .tgaorg or .ddsorg and place my new one in there as the working file. If anything goes bad. I just delete the org part and start anew. I'll rename it to .tgamod or .ddsmod if I am reinstating the original file and wish to retain my modded file in the directory I am working.

how do I install?

Press the link at the end and extract to C:\Users\yourname\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod
The mod folder wont be there but just right click and create a folder named mod

Alright I cave xD

this is my pre alpha

I'm experimenting with using other balance mods at the moment and trying to come up with original ways how I am going to continue this mod.

This module is 1.07b compatible,

it includes everything i previously mentioned except for the wip's.

Other things added are some things from SoH (all thanks go to him for his suggestions on berber culture and his ethiopian survival tips)

- berber culture in western africa, balances out spain in favour of christians better.
- miaphisites can't be warred by muslims conventionaly.
- varangians and mamelukes are not vassals. (weaker fatimids and byzantines)
- miscellaneous changes to localisation and minor things
- Special building for immortal gods capital
- Special Retinue for immortals (due to combat mechanics it is impossible to literaly make them immortal, they are just INCREDIBLY TOUGH)

- Heavily toned down the overpowered command modifiers of immortals, yes u are immortal, but ur army is NOT, atleast I hope to god ur not handing out immortality like its some barony title...(if you want an easy victory, hire a horse_archer mercenary band and lead with your immortal, garantueed victory:laugh:)
- Don't worry, immortals dont get caught in battle so much...on the other hand, they love capturing ur enemies xD 10x more likely to capture enemy commanders.

p.s

there is a custom made character in eastern europe (mansia), he is a bit overpowered and has a sweet ass wife too bang with. If you want to dabble in divine dynasties you can do so with him without having to mod anything else. Oh yeah and you can have 11 wifes now, for those who want a full soccer team :p

delete the provinces mansia and surgut from the history/titles if you don't want these extra characters in the game.

And last of all,

use the decision Immortal Soul in the decisions tab, to turn your zero into a hero.

any new releases at all Blind One?

I've actualy been hard at work trying to integrate the norse mod and project balance as a standard build in for the mod.

I've got the vanilla version pretty much complete so far. But for an official release I want something more flashy.

I'll see if I can clean up the vanilla version enough to upload it for all you immortality fans tonite.

Here's the beta version for the vanilla edition of my mod.

View attachment vanillavalkyrie.zip

Main Features:

1) Immortality!

You can gain immortality by going into the intrique menu and choosing either.

A) I am a deity. (this will enable god mode abilities for your immortal characters, immortal gods don't die in battle or pretty much anything)
B) I am an immortal. (this will make your character a standard immortal, they don't die of age or of disease, everything else still affects them)

You can grant/revoke others immortality by granting them a proper title of

A) deify, this turns the character into an immortal god, short of execution and some events, these characters don't die.
B) Immortalise, your regular shmoe immortal, no godlike abilities, just doesn't die of age or disease.
C) revoke immortality, clears the character of immortality and god trait if applicable.

Characters also have a chance of being born immortal if their parents have the trait. If gods and god mode are enabled, immortals will randomly turn into gods sometime in their teens or later years if they manage to survive that long.

2) Personal Army!

You can create your own personal order by leading the valkyrie flight from the intrique screen after becoming a god and atleast duke level. This will create a personal mercenary title for your character. It does NOT count as a second duchy, instead, it costs 1 demesne point.

You can hand out the title as if it were a minor title. And you can revoke the title from the person you gave it too.

3) Lead the Faith!

Similar to the personal army, you can lead the cult of the valkyries and centralise your position as absolute ruler of both earthly and spiritual matters in your realm. You can hand out and revoke the title of head of religion just like a minor title.

The valkyries can crusade, excommunicate, grant claims, invasions, divorce(s), priests marry and you can have up to a soccer team of wives (11 max).

note: taking this option will turn you into a scummy heathen mormon in the eyes of the ENTIRE WORLD. Just show them who's boss...

4) When I go to war! So do my women!

View attachment 67237

note: idk why the screenshot looks bad, it looks good ingame and the screenshot looks normal in photoshop... :( really weird...

note2: don't give landed titles to either your valkyrie commander or your head of religion. It's possible, but if you revoke their appropiate minor titles, you'll regain all titles held by the person. (very exploitable, but ultimately up to you, give some land to your commander and revoke the title later when you want to hand it out to your progeny or something).
