I am definitely using the KA folder - Is it worth completely deleting all my ck2 files and starting afresh? Since i don't really have any big saves i want to keep and i may have just mucked it up downloading mods and stuff.

Yup, that is definitely where i am putting it. My vanilla ck2 checksum is fine, so i am uninstalling all my other mods including the previous versions of your mod I had, in case i am enabling the wrong version or something - I had far too many mods anyway.
EDIT: This worked for some reason - maybe the older versions of the mod also installed were screwing with it.
First of all, please report clearly which version you are using, the version number and whether you use vanilla or ck2plus compatible mod. This will make clear exactly what you have installed. This will prevent me from assuming which version you have and whether you indeed have the vanilla mod ('only this mod' can also mean ck2plus+AND, depends on your definition).
It wouldn't be the first time I start debugging and in the end it turns out to be another version or they neglect to inform they use another module... stuff like that. Hence the nit-picky information request
- The first three lines are normal. The game doesn't find the aztec files, which is normal since you don't have the DLC. So if you didn't have these three lines you should worry.
- The dynasties error lines may suggest a bad install, but that will depend on which version you use. The reason why I suggest a bad install is because my mod doesn't overwrite, delete, or alter the dynasties.tga files. Have you installed the vanilla version and ck2plus, or use the ck2plus version without ck2plus? Do you have other modules of ck2plus enabled? That sort of thing.
To verify whether indeed it is a bad install or not, give me the exact version you use and mention the checksum you get on startup. I can rule out a bad install and start reproducing the problem when I get the same checksum on a fresh install.
The dynasties.tga lines are caused by lack of the corresponding Coat of Arms DLCs.
I'm having some trouble with this mod - I installed the CK2+ compatible version of this mod, along with CK2+, and set my game to the 2.0.4 version on Steam. It loaded fine, but on the character selection screen everyone is grayed out and nobody is playable. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!
On my game launcher, I've got Another New Dawn v0.27 (CK+), KA for Another New Dawn v0.27, and [Required] CK2+ Core (2.07.1) all checked. Sorry for being vague...I hope this answers it better, and thanks for your help!
Ah that's ok. I do still want to know where you installed it though, is it in the location the readme mentions? So in documents and not in the game folder?
And what is the checksum? Or does it crash before the game is completely booted?
EDIT: strike all that. You have the wrong ck2+ version. Mind that ck2+ never have put 2.07.2 in the OP. So i guess you didn't use the files i linked directly but from the OP of their thread, is that correct?
(The reasoning behind me hosting the files myself must now also be clear)
Yep, that's right...I think I thought that what I was DL'ing from your file was something that ran alongside CK2+ but still needed me to DL CK2+ on its own (It's been a few days so I'm not sure). Sounds like it's an easy fix, though - little bit of cleanup and I should be able to get it going. Thank you for pointing that out. (Also just for completion's sake, yes, files are in the Documents folder and not in the Game folder.)
By the beard of Odin!Trying out the beta, and I just received two holy region events for one province, which means no matter which I am, I always get revolts. Event spam is also a major problem, as this one baron seemed to covert to elemental/tyrian up to 4 times. This also means that instead of just one norse revolt, I get... this
