I am definitely using the KA folder - Is it worth completely deleting all my ck2 files and starting afresh? Since i don't really have any big saves i want to keep and i may have just mucked it up downloading mods and stuff.

It cannot hurt, but in normal use of mods it is never necessary as they don't touch the normal files from the documents mod folder.
That reminds me, are you putting the mod in "C:\Users\<username>\Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod" ? (I don't think so, since you mention using other mods... but still)

Yup, that is definitely where i am putting it. My vanilla ck2 checksum is fine, so i am uninstalling all my other mods including the previous versions of your mod I had, in case i am enabling the wrong version or something - I had far too many mods anyway.
EDIT: This worked for some reason - maybe the older versions of the mod also installed were screwing with it.

I am glad it works! I don't see how they would interfere (as long as actually select the good ones), but fixing it is the important part :)

Just wanted to mention that compatching is taking some more time.
When Dynamic Duchies is working as intended again, without introducing new issues compared to the pre-RoI patch, I will start compatching the mod.

Then I will start on compatching ck2+. However since the map will be different this essentially means starting from scratch (due to it being part of other bookmarks, while DD and AND only have one and have their own history).
And then when that is finished... I hope I can keep working on new things and fixing other issues soon :)

First of all, please report clearly which version you are using, the version number and whether you use vanilla or ck2plus compatible mod. This will make clear exactly what you have installed. This will prevent me from assuming which version you have and whether you indeed have the vanilla mod ('only this mod' can also mean ck2plus+AND, depends on your definition).
It wouldn't be the first time I start debugging and in the end it turns out to be another version or they neglect to inform they use another module... stuff like that. Hence the nit-picky information request ;)

- The first three lines are normal. The game doesn't find the aztec files, which is normal since you don't have the DLC. So if you didn't have these three lines you should worry.
- The dynasties error lines may suggest a bad install, but that will depend on which version you use. The reason why I suggest a bad install is because my mod doesn't overwrite, delete, or alter the dynasties.tga files. Have you installed the vanilla version and ck2plus, or use the ck2plus version without ck2plus? Do you have other modules of ck2plus enabled? That sort of thing.

To verify whether indeed it is a bad install or not, give me the exact version you use and mention the checksum you get on startup. I can rule out a bad install and start reproducing the problem when I get the same checksum on a fresh install.

The dynasties.tga lines are caused by lack of the corresponding Coat of Arms DLCs.

I'm having some trouble with this mod - I installed the CK2+ compatible version of this mod, along with CK2+, and set my game to the 2.0.4 version on Steam. It loaded fine, but on the character selection screen everyone is grayed out and nobody is playable. Can you tell me what I might be doing wrong? Thanks!

Can you tell me exactly which versions you use, what you install (CK2+, AND, KA for AND) and where you install them (docs or the game root folder)?

On my game launcher, I've got Another New Dawn v0.27 (CK+), KA for Another New Dawn v0.27, and [Required] CK2+ Core (2.07.1) all checked. Sorry for being vague...I hope this answers it better, and thanks for your help!

Ah that's ok. I do still want to know where you installed it though, is it in the location the readme mentions? So in documents and not in the game folder?
And what is the checksum? Or does it crash before the game is completely booted?

EDIT: strike all that. You have the wrong ck2+ version. Mind that ck2+ never have put 2.07.2 in the OP. So i guess you didn't use the files i linked directly but from the OP of their thread, is that correct?
(The reasoning behind me hosting the files myself must now also be clear;))

Yep, that's right...I think I thought that what I was DL'ing from your file was something that ran alongside CK2+ but still needed me to DL CK2+ on its own (It's been a few days so I'm not sure). Sounds like it's an easy fix, though - little bit of cleanup and I should be able to get it going. Thank you for pointing that out. (Also just for completion's sake, yes, files are in the Documents folder and not in the Game folder.)

I will make it a little bit more clear in the OP, as a modder you sometimes have little insight into how people interpret things you write down.
If it still causes errors just report back.

It's working perfectly now that I have the right files in the right places; I guess that's the key! Great mod by the way...I kind of stopped playing for a few months after Gladdig's New Dawn stopped updating, and your mod has pulled me right back in. Really nice work.

version 0.30 beta is now released. It isn't called vanilla anymore (as it needs the oldgods dlc).
It runs fine on 2.1.1 and even the culture bubbles of the new land have been added.

Just mind that it's a beta. we still have to add the new religions and culture mingling, as well as probably some balancing for them. I will probably upload a new version in around the weekend, although I will not promise anything.

Trying out the beta, and I just received two holy region events for one province, which means no matter which I am, I always get revolts. Event spam is also a major problem, as this one baron seemed to covert to elemental/tyrian up to 4 times. This also means that instead of just one norse revolt, I get... this

I mean Jesus.
By the beard of Odin!

The revolts can also be a result of the 'Indian revolt problem' that 2.1 has, I will see what the problem is there and see whether it also can cause problems here.
The conversion spam is of course not due to that. I think I will make a large test run to see exactly what happens when a religion spawns, get rid of the quirks in there once and for all.

Thanks for the report, I will see what's going on.

I have made some fixes. It should now be impossible to get two religions.
The issue was that when the first IF-statement was fired, the second became true... So the prophet indeed took two branches of the chain at the same time.

0.33 is now out and on the workshop.
it fixed some provinces not able to create a duchy/kingdom/empire and when the rebels spawn they should not spawn again and again (so no mongol horde-like stacks).

If there are still issues, please keep reporting them so I can fix it :)
