It sounded like a vanilla issue since you said you weren't pushing the "Launch" button. We'll have a look.
Edit: Is it not showing up in the launcher?

Yes, the mod is showing up in the launcher, as I said before. And I said it was like I wasn't pressing the launch button at all, I was pushing the button, but nothing happened.
Edit: It basically just crashes at launch. Probably should have just said that. And it does that every time.
The Mediafire link is pre-CM, but we got the Github version up and running with the current beta. It still has bugs that need to be ironed out (just see the last page for that!), but it works now without crashing to the desktop. Is this Mod compatible with the latest expansion and patch?
(Posting from phone, too hard to check through everything, thanks)
Those two things are related. I haven't figured out (or checked to see if anyone else has figured out) how to change what five bookmarks are used for the premade start stuff, so all five bookmarks in the mod are actually vanilla entries like BM_THE_OLD_GODS (that's the "Southern Knights" bookmark!), just with some localization work re-done. I just haven't gotten to relocalizing the Stamford Bridge and last few bookmarks, because I've been slamming my head against a brick wall trying to resolve the CTD stuff up until this weekend.Bookmarks are all screwed up. The native American bookmark at the starting screen requires Charlemagne, and there's a "Stamford Bridge" bookmark.
That's because there's no premade character there, and what appears there when you load up a game is autogenerated by the game to fill in those blank spaces. We just haven't made proper characters for every province (especially Mexico) yet. When starting a custom game, a bunch of the characters on the edge of the map (western New Mexico, most of regular Mexico) are blacked out and can't be selected. I'm not sure if this is intentional.
Los Alamos is on the west side of the Rio Grande, opposite Santa Fe. When the rest of New Mexico is added in, then yeah, there'll be some holy site changes going on.This isn't a bug, but shouldn't the Atomists have a holy site at Los Alamos? I think it's right on the edge of the existing map.
By "current Github version", did you mean the new TODAY! version with the map addition you've been waiting for, Nebraska and Kansas???Just wanted to say current Github version is working perfectly for me!
The current mediafire version works with the 2.1.6 rollback version still. The next Mediafire update's probably going to be 0.3, once a few things are resolved:Cool, further expansions. Any idea how long until the mediafire link is working?

Because you should! Dare you play as the depressed widower-king of Platte, who rules a realm where half his vassals are barely-Christianized tribals who won't give him any revenue worth a darn because they're tribals? Perhaps you'd prefer to be the tribal lord of Kickatus, and kick a tush-- like the tush of the King of Platte! Or, if you consider yourself the bold sort, you might consider playing as Count Wyatt 'the Peacemaker' of Dodge, a skilled fighter and eligible bachelor (ladies!) who will probably be steamrolled within ten years by Kickatus.
Enjoy this new addition! Marvel at the new blank spots on the map where I never bothered adding a tribal lord to western Kansas! Exclaim with glee at the sight of four new de jure duchies inside the brand-new de jure Kingdom of Platte!

Also two provinces were added in Oklahoma and two more in Iowa.
The current mediafire version works with the 2.1.6 rollback version still. The next Mediafire update's probably going to be 0.3, once a few things are resolved:
- More of Mexico should be fleshed out in terms of characters and the like.
- The merc roster still needs to be expanded to cover the new territories added. (That's next up on my personal to-do list)
- We got rid of the CTD bug by just commenting out galleys in all the merc units. We really ought to figure out what's up with that before 0.3's released.
- The Mesoamerican clothes thing needs to be sorted out.
- The five bookmarks probably need to be reconfigured, because of that CM and TOG requirement stuff.
Once that's all sorted, then we'll proclaim the next version 0.3, break open the champagne bottles, and push out a new Mediafire download link along with all that.
Would anyone feel that a decision to create a cardinal succession religion head for the Cult of Saints, as a vassal, for a sacred_heart character who is the Emperor of Mexico? (Storywise re-organising the church under central leadership to better stand firm against the northern heretics and barbarians, but also as likely founder of the Empire, generally centralising everything under your control as Emperors do)
With the special feature to be eligible to be a cardinal you have to have the same patron saint trait as the pope, so the only way to switch the branch of the church leadership would be through anti-pope claim pressing?
I spent a few hours last night trying to make a modette for the mod adding in a heresy with such a religion head, so I have such things as localisation, pope regnal name list, etc, ready to go, but I couldn't get it working. (I can't work out if it's possible to make it so the patron saints can be applied to two religions, or how to get the cardinals working without it crashing, so I'm basically giving up)
I think it sounds pretty cool, but I have utterly no idea on how to make it work haha

asuncion_apostolico_DESC;Since the end of the last world the Arzobispo Primado de México has preserved and maintained the Católic Church and the Christian Faith, serving atleast in the minds of the people of Mexico City as the spiritual leader of the Sagrado Corazón and the new world in general. None of this meant alot, until missionaries from the lost north began intruding south, proclaiming in their ignorance their barbarous ways the true Christianity. To oppose this incursion of false popes and heresy the Arzobispo Primado took up the title Arzobispo Apostólico at the head of a new organised Church under firm leadership to maintain the faith of God, Maria and the Saints.;;;;;;;;;;;;;x

The Cult of Saints isn't unreformed paganism, and individual rulers can romp about with holy wars like the best of 'em. They don't have crusades, but not everyone does (and not everybody should have them), and they all get unique traits that give everyone a skills boost of some sort or another. Further, if the Empire of Mexico was formed, it'd probably be in a strong position as it is by sheer merit of being an empire at all, especially an empire with 8 (iirc) de jure kingdoms under its belt.
