Actually, I was thinking it would be worthwhile to change the tourneys into regional/cultural specific versions. Rodeos for most westerners, powows for American Indians. Hockey for Canada and maybe the northern great lakes, football games almost anywhere, etc. Maybe nascar-themed rewrites of the byzantine chariot racing events?

In at least new england, have thanksgiving feasts. Americanists can have fourth of July celebrations.

WW2 rule disqualifies NASCAR related references. However the precursor of NASCAR, stock car races on Daytona beach (the beach, not the raceway) are still fair game.

The Indianapolis 500 would fair game. The Indianapolis Motor Speedway should still be recognizable in some form barring a major nuclear strike on Indianapolis. It was built back in 1909 and had a golden age just prior to the Great Depression. This works great with the WW2 rule.

Harness and horseback racing is more likely to survive a civilization destroyed event than anything descended from stock car or Indy car or formula 1 racing.

But what about non-Occultist New Englanders? Not every event needs to depend on a character's religion (which seems to be a mistake a lot of suggestions have made)

I think stock car or NASCAR wouldn't be the best. I think horse-racing in general would be better. Horse-racing is very popular sport. Hundreds of families raise the best best breeds for racing. In the south, in the Midwest, even in New england horse-racing is popular. And to me, it would be more likely to survive the apocalypse than stock car racing. I think a general horse-racing tournament would be good for nearly all of the US cultures.

Don't know how the event will go, but it would go like the tournament except it relies on the horse you use. The better the horse, the more likely you'll win/get better rewards. But it will also mean the more expensive the horse will be.

Even if we don't want to get into the logistics of automobile technology in a post-apoc world, it would be cool to have horse races that have taken on the trappings of NASCAR/stock car racing. Little remnants of culture like that would go along way to making it feel like something other than just "medieval America".

I think the intention was that "Nascart Racing" Is where you put a horse before a cart painted in vivid colors with a big numeral on the side, and then you race it across a large oval track.

For that you also can use the unique feast for Hindus worshipping Kali as their patron deity.

I´m also wondering if Norse(or whatever it will become in the future) will get access to the papan CoAs from TOG like the Occultists because I really like to use some of them if I create a costume character.

horse racing taking on the remnants of modern horse racing culture having grown out of it would be different enough, while being a vivid, living progressive culture, rather than a fading, pale imitation of something gone.
While also being applicable to more societies so more gain for the effort of writing the events.

Noticed a couple of issues while playing today. I first tried to play as the Kingdom of Ontario, but wasn't allowed to because it said it was a theocracy. Then I tried to play as the Duke of Algoma and it said I wasn't allowed to play as a republic, even though they aren't a republic, and I own the republic DLC.

Actually, what about a sort of Great Nerge replacement for Westerners or the Native Americans? Going on a large hunt for buffalo or some other animal on the Great Plains sounds like it could fit in.

Since CM rolled through, I've noticed that realms that incorporate wrong holdings aren't playable at game start anymore. Algoma and Ontario, pre-CM, both had wrong holdings, but the game recognized they were feudal and simply held wrong holdings. Post-CM, the game now notices they have temple or city holdings and immediately assumes they're theocracies or republics. I dunno exactly why, but I've noticed that change in behavior myself. Already edited a few realms to get that sorted elsewhere, and I suspect there's even yet more realms with the same issue.

For those of you who're experiencing crashes - have any of you had issues while the game is loading up? Particularly during the final "Loading Graphics" stage? Just for our records.
