Will you include other references to Leibowitz in the future ?
Would be fun to play as the nomad tribes of the Midwest :p
There is also a possibility for an empire in Denver since you added the kingdom of Tenessi. Christian heretics in Oregon and a tiny little abbey near Utah :p

A Bayring Influx would be good. But they turn up off the edge of the map on the side that doesnt have an edge or a map yet.
But CK2s mongols probably would hardly need modded at all for them, being from the same place and the same sort of invasion.

But the biggest influence from Canticle i'd like to see is the Misborn.
More horrible disabilities and mutations to be born with, and difficult decisions about what to do with the child who has them. Suffocate it in the cot? Send it to the monks? Abandon it to the misborn colony out in the woods? Raise it as if it was a proper human? CK2 is about getting heirs after all.

I've been playing a game right up until now as Revelationist Kentucky->Uppland (latest Github build) and didn't get any crash when checking the Religion tab or the religious sites (which are often the cause of the crashes).

That aside, I recently conquered a near Knox. A Atomicist revival spread from there and I converted to it. It's WAD that I can't reform this faith?

I played a Tenesi--> Uppland game and I was able to reform the Revelationist faith. I haven't had any crashes with the religion tab as a Revelationist but something is wonky for the localization of Revelationist vassal bishops in the religion tab only.

Other random thoughts:
1) I am fine with the New York area being Evangelical. The Evangelical faith is more interesting if it isn't a south only religion.
2) It might add more flavor to the Evangelical faith if there are Raj of India style doctrinal traits. I think even if Protestantism united there would still be a lot of disagreement about baptism. Immersionists would support baptism from immersion like current day Baptists while Affusionists believe in the pouring or sprinkling of water during a Baptism.
3) Maybe a compromise for the Thelemic religion is that the Thelemics are a persecuted minority in 28th century Britain (we would be purposely vague about what the majority faith would be). Thus the Thelemic invasion is kind of a dark occultist repeat of the Puritan migration to America.
4) A syncretic mix of Native American/First Nation religions and Christianity would be interesting for certain regions. But I understand not want to have a Lux Invicta number of different religions.
5) A trade unionist heresy of Rust Cultists that drew on the history of the Knights of Labor, IWW, and AFL would be amazing. Theologically they could oppose private ownership of pre-Event artifacts so pious Union heretics would donate all their finds to tech-priests.

Question for those of you using the latest Github version and The Old Gods-- can any of you load up as a Revelationist (Chief of Tenesi, for example) and go to the religion tab? We've gotten a report of a CTD with that, but we can't replicate it ourselves and would appreciate some verification if this is a specific issue for one person or if we're the exceptions and everyone else has the issue.

What other Neo-Medieval America? Dies the Fire?
I don't know if linking to it is within forum rules, so I'll just say google "Medieval America" and it will be the first result. I'm a little surprised you don't remember it - you commented on it on altenatehistory.com back in 2007.

Fair warning, it gets a little weird further west.

EDIT: It's ... it's a little disconcerting how that google search brought up many of my old maps from way back when.

I like the Redcoats being an incursion force of a pseudo-"a Study in Emerald" Victiorian England... but I agree with an earlier poster on that Thelemic is a bit strange, just because Aleister Crowley was English. Something I thought really quick is that they could be of a religion that evolved out of tribals finding defictionalized imitations of the Necronomicon and believe that the Old Ones, Cthulhu and some such are real and that the Queen, or whoever controls the Royal Family at that point, is a halfbreed with authority to rule until "He comes!".

What other Neo-Medieval America? Dies the Fire?
I think he's talking about Matthew White's "Atlas of Medieval America" blog (http://users.erols.com/mwhite28/medvam/) which was abandoned years ago but had the Great Plains home to nomadic herder hordes of "Cowboys" who followed an ultra-Old Testament version of Christianity and called themselves New Isrealites. The faith was pretty puritanical, associated boars and pigs with pests and re-embraced the order against eating pork, abandoned religious iconography so they don't have to drag Madonnas and such around, and being nomadic means no prisons so they exiled, maimed, or killed criminals.

The site's got good ideas, but some might be a bit too out there for the mod like the Buddhist Pacific North West, Neo-Pagan Southwest, Scientologist California, etc.

The Mending Great Schism esque event for the "Catholic" groups would be cool, I agree. It would unite the Ursuline, Cult of Saints, and perhaps even some Protestants for a united Christendom under the Pope. They would be like; let's face it, either we band together or get conquered."

Isn't the Cult of Saints a complete outshoot of Catholicism though? Much like Revelationism is Pentecostal and evangelical Protestantism boiled down the miracle and supernatural "worship", removing the trinity altogether, the Cult of Saints is Catholicism likewise boiled down to a pantheon of saints, again, with the trinity out of the equation. That's the feeling it gives off to me, anyway.

Apparently not completely - unlike the Revelationists the Cult of Saints still calls their holy book the Bible, they've a greater overlap in the available god_names with the Catholics and they tend to marry Catholics if they don't marry other Saint-Cultists (if I understand the code correctly).
EDIT: Granted, I'm not certain the game could handle Mending the Schism-type parent religion-changing across religious categories (since both the one in the unmodded game and AtE's Church Confederation does so within the Christian grouping), so Cult of Saints might be out for mechanical reasons.

In another mod, I once had a heresy in a different religion group than it's parent (For a syncretic mix thing).
And nothing bad seemed to happen.

Not that'd I recommend it, as that was alot of patches and DLCs ago also I didn't actually test it very well, beyond just checking if it worked. But it might be a thing that could happen, however they'd probably get double malus' 'I hate you because you're a heretic' and 'i hate you because you're an infidel' which might make things.. fun.

I've actually tested that for the personal total conversion I'm working on. Heretics in a different group from their parent just get the infidel penalty, but otherwise function as normal heretics.

Why is everyone talking about new invasions? There's already the English invasion in the current version and two more to be implemented once the map expands south and west. A 4th horde would make things way too difficult (i think).

Why not hordes? Let's be realistic, by the time hordes come you're a Juggernaut. Also, everyone still wants their piece of the American pie, no matter how degraded it has become, just false notions of an amazing high-tech faraway utopia called America would motivate some in conquering.

The roads are paved in gold, and every man is a king, according to the legends that have built up about America in the devastated lands of the Old World since the Apocalypse.

Or perhaps the legend of the Seven Cities of Cebola have reemerged. Legends of a Golden Age when gods strode the land.

It doesn't matter that America is just as devastated as Europe or Asia, contact is so tenuous that legend is more real than fact to them.

So I was wondering if we could possibly get a replacement for the Grand Tournament for Anabaptists? Doesn't really seem like something they would partake in and it would give them a little something to set them apart; they are currently probably the blandest religion IMHO.

Really I think tournaments should be removed. Where would they have heard of them? Old history textbooks? Perhaps replace them with grand showdowns or something.
