I think that the massive Caribbean Empire eliminates any possibility of fun in Florida and that area. It's stupidly huge and the different territories within like Cuba and Jamaica are all homogenous within 100 years. No fun.

The thought behind the Caribbean Empire was to try to establish an empire that was primed to fling itself to pieces with revolts and backstabbing once the game starts. It doesn't happen every game, but it does happen. Figured it'd add some more variety to the possible starting points.Yea, why is there a huge Caribbean empire, seems weird.
The Great Plains, the South, New York, bits of Pennsylvania, Quebec and Ontario are all explicitly Christian.Do any forms of Christianity exist in this game at all?
Well. More like I wanted to have a mod set in America, but wanted a scenario that could justify it, so a post-apocalyptic setting was the obvious choice for that. I wanted to lean on A Canticle For Leibowitz but that's sort of fallen by the wayside as things have progressed, although I don't want to outright discard Leibowitz as an influence.I know the whole point of this mod is to have an outlandish scenario
Plus Anabaptists, and that's just the ones who are classified as Christian and not-heretical in-game. The High Church and Charismatic heresies for the Evangelicals have playable characters from start (indeed, the High Church has a very strong presence in Canada in the snapshot I downloaded yesterday, and can even be confederated with the Ursulines), the Revelationists might have gone far enough into emphasis on the supernatural and miraculous (and often forgetting the Holy Trinity altogether) to count as Pagan, but they do have Christian origins according to their description, and the Cult of Saints-classified Sagrado Corazón seems to be an off-shoot of Catholicism with a strong emphasis on saints almost to the point of making them a pantheon. There are at least 2 flavors of Catholics plus Evangelicals, so yes, several forms of Christianity exist in the game.
It would be interesting if certain heresies (modern-day ones that you haven't covered (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_heresies#Modern_Movements) and Jehovah's Witness) and Gnosticism (the only ones I could see make an appearance is Cathars and, depending on certain churches' views on who is the king of Earth (that could become corrupted to this form of Christianity), Bogomils) make an appearanceThe thought behind the Caribbean Empire was to try to establish an empire that was primed to fling itself to pieces with revolts and backstabbing once the game starts. Gnosticism actually already is in, in the form of a generic Neo-Gnostic heresy for Catholicism. It would be interesting if certain heresies (modern-day ones that you haven't covered (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Christian_heresies#Modern_Movements) and Jehovah's Witness) and Gnosticism (the only ones I could see make an appearance is Cathars and, depending on certain churches' views on who is the king of Earth (that could become corrupted to this form of Christianity), Bogomils) make an appearance
The High Church technically is Protestant (they're suspiciously Catholic-like to the mainstream Evangelicals, but unlike the Ursulines they don't recognize the theoretical authority of a pope over them), so it probably shouldn't be an option for them.Since the current conversation seems to be over Christianity in the game, perhaps there could be a little more about the potential reunification of the Catholic church? Something ala "mending the schism" or somesuch. I'm thinking of the Ursulines/High Church/Confederated Church reuniting the Catholics and deposing the Pope in New Rome, whom I figured is considered something like an Antipope for the Ursulines.

Uniting the Schism stuff would be rad, yeah, but LordInsane's right that High Church is Protestant. They're meant to basically be Anglicans in all but name. The High Church technically is Protestant (they're suspiciously Catholic-like to the mainstream Evangelicals, but unlike the Ursulines they don't recognize the theoretical authority of a pope over them) , so it probably shouldn't be an option for them.

The Great Plains is the most hardline in Christianity, so it would be the best place for that. It would also be a nice reference to that other Neo-Medieval America on the web.Somewhere in the Bible Belt most likely. Kansas or Arkansas maybe, as the Old South is mostly filled in already.
What other Neo-Medieval America? Dies the Fire? The Great Plains is the most hardline in Christianity, so it would be the best place for that. It would also be a nice reference to that other Neo-Medieval America on the web.
Question for those of you using the latest Github version and The Old Gods-- can any of you load up as a Revelationist (Chief of Tenesi, for example) and go to the religion tab? We've gotten a report of a CTD with that, but we can't replicate it ourselves and would appreciate some verification if this is a specific issue for one person or if we're the exceptions and everyone else has the issue.
