I don't think I get how to use github. If I download the zip in the link and extract it into the mod directory, the mod no longer works, I just have a blank outline of the map with nothing selectable.

As the map expands west, would it be possible to add a Nicolas Cage cult? There's an interesting mod for EU4 that added the option to play as a nation that worshipped Nicolas Cage http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=172185692

Plus, there's always http://www.reddit.com/r/onetruegod//.

Surely it isn't such a stretch to imagine a single county in the midwest or California taking Cage satire to a new level and thinking he was a god amung men in ages past? I for one would love to reunite the U.S. in the name of our God's glory.

I've been keeping an eye on the dev releases and am enjoying the mod's expansion into Wisconsin. Was not expecting a Hodag reference, or reference to Leif Ericsson in the latest updates. I am excited to see this neck of the woods fully fleshed out.

If I could interject though, on behalf of the Northlander culture, the provinces of Bad River, St. Croix, and Chequamegon should be considered Northlander. Ashland (County Capital of Bad River) is home to Northland College, which would mark them as being part of the Northland. Both St. Croix and Chequamegon are close enough in Duluth's sphere of influence, in my opinion, to also be put up for consideration.

Also a suggestion. For Norse religion, when the area of Alexandria, MN is implemented into the mod, that should be considered a holy site due to the Alexandria Runestone. Story goes that Vikings traveled to the new world beyond Vinland through the Great Lakes, down through some rivers, and carved the rock. In addition, Duluth itself should also be in consideration due to Leif Ericsson Park's Viking Ship and Enger Tower which was dedicated by Norwegian Royalty.

Final idea for tonight. When the area around Grand Marais, MN is incorporated. The ruling family should be run by two young brothers named Sven and Ole after a well known local pizza place. It would make for a great Easter egg.

I appreciate the work that is being done to make this mod and wait in anticipation every day to see what exciting additions get made to this new world. Hope you like the suggestions. Keep up the awesome work.

Sorry to bug you again but the revelationist reformed religion needs localisation and the title needs a name for the holder. About the flag for the religious title do you think the duchy of sinai's burning bush might work.

For your minute men situation:

You should make it a holy order. The if they attack anyone, short of the occultists, the Minute men will be able to jump in and help for no fee as long as you are on the defensive.

I don't know if there is away to apply a single holy order to almost every faith or if this should be represented as each religion getting a holy order to protect against the British. But given what you are trying to do, a holy order might be the way to go.

Perhaps even more specialized minutemen regiments, like ones historically founded from areas where the faith is prevalent.

Yeah, I did that, and now the mod doesn't work at all.

They also need to be grouped into one folder. If you simply unzip all of the files into Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod then it does not seem to work (for me at least).

Create a folder in Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings II\mod called After the End. Then, place all of the mods folder into it. Place After the End.mod into the Mods folder. If you have done that, then I cannot help.

I extracted the folder to documents/paradox/mods and even copied the .MOD file and pasted it into the mod folder and it still doesn't work. Why can't you just release it like everyone else? I'm not sure why it's not working it just loads the normal game.

Likely because the MOD file is telling the game to look for a folder named "After the End," but your folder is still named "postapoc-master" or something like that. Rename the folder with all the mod files to After the End.

Guys getting the most update version of this mod is pretty simple. If you shit is getting messed up, delete all the After the End/Post Apoc stuff you have so far, and start again following these instructions.

1. Download the After the End 0.1.1 zip from the OP
2. Install to your mod folder in your paradox folder in your documents
3. CHECK IF THE MOD WORKS AT THIS POINT
4. If/when the mod works at this point, go to the github page and click the download zip on the lower right hand corner
5. You will receive a zip labelled "post apoc" or something.
6. Open in winrar, open the post apoc folder, select all the contents (the gfx folder, etc) and extract that into the After the End mod folder. At this point you'll be asked to overwrite things if you're doing things right. Click yes to all.
7. You should now have the most update version of the mod
8. Play and enjoy.

But other than that we really want to avoid blatant clues as to when the Event happened - the vagueness around the apocalypse 6-700 years ago is very much intentional. Plus, quite frankly, we don't want the entire mod to become an avalanche of references to 21st century pop culture.

I really love this mod and would love to contribute in some way (since I have zero programming skills, maybe some flavor text writing, or something like that).

However, as I'm playing, the game just crashes around year 2376; I'm not sure what's causing it, and I'm actually not doing anything (just watching time pass) when the game just blacks out and crashes. Any ideas?
