That would make sense, as kingdoms in-game represent effectively state-sized chunks of territory. Though it does leave the question of what to do with dukes-- Lieutenant Governor doesn't seem to quite cut it-- and emperors especially.

There should be a decision if the White House is somehow eliminated to re-establish it, provided you hold Washington DC and are Americanist.

Senator or Congressman. Not quite right, but close enough after 600 years.

Mayor?

While a mayor doesn't rule over extended countryside in American government, they could be exercising de facto control over the region while officially they are just first among equals of the local rulers.

This looks really cool. I can't wait for more updates. Shouldn't something akin to Communism be possible? It is the end of days; some ambitious person might try to bring people together with promises of equality...
Atomicists are intended to work as a half-stand-in for Communism, in that when Soviets are implemented they'll be Atomicists and screaming about the Invisible World and so forth. Actually coding a communist system in CK2 would be a headache and a half (and I already have a headache right now).
I think Americanist kings should be called Governors.
I'm really hesitant to take modern political titles directly and apply them to the Americanists; it just seems to jarring to see modern terms, unmodified, right along side feudal stuff, especially outside where they're supposed to be (like District Judge being a Duke). Partially it may just be a bit of grognardism on my part- I'm running for office and am on the local ballot this November, so I'm particularly sensitive about who does what and where everyone's supposed to be- but it also seems just not enough to take names directly and transplant them straight into CK2 without jiggering with them a bit.

Yea, state assemblyman, state senator, and/or state representative could work. I like it as is though -- adds to the alternate reality mood.

Great mod by the way. The African ethnicities and religions are great. It would be great if the religion of mainland Afro-Anglo provinces could heresies: National Baptist Convention and the African Methodist Episcopal Church (ala Victoria 2) are two of the biggest and could work well. National Baptist Convention members were originally independent, autonomous congregations that joined to create the more unitary NBC church in the late nineteenth century -- NBC could be represented as a schism from Baptist. The African Methodist Episcopal Church is a schism of the Methodist Episcopal Church (itself a schism of Anglicanism). It was founded in the late 18th century. The majority of African American Christians are adherents of African American schisms -- only a minority are generic evangelicals. A few Caribbean provinces with these schisms would be cool too, since the African American schisms have historically proselytized there and have large presences especially in the English-speaking Caribbean.

To be honest, Governor has been around as a term for two thousand years, so it isn't that bad, especially with the Americanists who would lease a lot from the Golden Age. If gubernator survived up to us, it will probably get to the New Americans, as well.

Why does Texas get its own empire (dev version)?
Texas doesn't exist at the kingdom level, and it felt weird to not have a Texas on the map that anyone could form. There's still the titular Texan Empire than Texans and Tejanos can create, but given how cultures bounce around from time to time that may not necessarily be a thing created in Texas. It felt weird to have things just limited to that, so a de jure Texas was plomped down that anybody who controls Texas can form.

Are more empires for the rest of the map planned? It seems weird to have an empire for Texas, but not have one for, say, the rust belt.

EDIT: Nevermind, just looked through the titular titles.

There is a cult in Florida called Kashi Ashram, which is still around today, and if you want a heresy for consumerism go with The Brethren, which teaches that consumerism is evil and one must give up all possessions.

So you can laugh with glee when you see 'for the past x years the [texas kingdoms] have been part of your empire'. CRUSH THE TEXANS UNDER YOUR BOOTS! WIPE THE BLIGHT OF TEXAS FROM THE FACE OF EARTH!!!!
As a New Yorker who always hears of Texan toughness and actually seen Texans act that tough... Good luck with that (you'll need it) also you probably just unleashed the hounds as they say

As much as I agree with the sentiment, I doubt that is the true reason.

I'm of course a complete novice at modding, but couldn't that be solved simply by having, aside from being Texan/Tejano culture, several key counties around Texas you have to hold to create that titular empire? In vanilla CK2, for example, you need to own the counties in d_thrace in addition to being Catholic to form the Latin Empire, ensuring that a Latin Empire doesn't form in like Bohemia or Iberia.
