Where I live definitely shouldn't be catholic, You'll run into 8 churches accidentally all over the place that are protestant in some form, but you'd have to look up a catholic church to find it
Release? By the way, why are there so many Catholics in the game?
Is this mod compatible with the latest version of Crusader Kings 2?
One of the bases for the mod (that we've since veered from a bit) is A Canticle for Leibowitz, which was about a post-apocalyptic America gradually rebuilding itself, the Church's role in all that, and a Pope in St. Louis. It's why Catholicism is centered in a region that is pretty not-Catholic.Release? By the way, why are there so many Catholics in the game?

I could see it working much like Judaism in vanilla, maybe. But a few courtiers and advisors probably aren't worth coding a new religion, especially without a historically important atheist center and culture like Judaism has Jerusalem, and the relevant interesting and flavorful SoA events that come from that. Also, in regards to the atheism debate, I have to agree that it would not be very prevalent in a post-apocalyptic feudal society, and in many ways the cynical trait serves its purpose pretty well, but I also must concede that plenty of people are atheist or agnostic in America today. I doubt it would totally disappear following the apocalypse. While I would not recommend adding in any important atheist rulers, it could work as a religion, as elaborated upon in some other posts, and might be something to add once the main body of work is more or less done. In the event that it does happen, I'd suggest an incredibly zealous antitheist heresy and a not-so-zealous agnostic heresy.
+1What you could do for an atheist-style religion (and I'm not saying you should do this) is make something like "Stellarists", people who worship the stars and places of old scientific learning. Holy sites could include Cape Canaveral, NASA headquarters, and that kind of thing.
But make it real clear that these people don't really understand what they're worshipping - like the Consumerists, they're enamored with the dreams of the past and the idea of science rather than science itself. You could have entertaining events where they try and restore old rockets (and it goes horribly wrong) or things like that.
Call the priests "Scientists" or "Professors" or something. Base them at NASA, with little enclaves all over the place.
It's a "secular" religion, but it's not, really - it's just people venerating something distorted, like Consumerism. You could even do heresies with things like "Plutoists", who firmly believe that Pluto is a planet, or "Exodites", who are looking to leave the world behind and go to the stars, or tthings like that.

Atomicists sort of veer on that already. The Science! facet of it all isn't played up that much, but a religion centered around (if not actually understanding of) atomic theory is going to have a certain relationship with old science. Cape Canaveral even serves as an Atomicist holy site. What you could do for an atheist-style religion (and I'm not saying you should do this) is make something like "Stellarists", people who worship the stars and places of old scientific learning. Perhaps reformed Atomicists could take that role, focusing less on dumping their kids in nuclear reactors and more on furthering the knowledge of the Atom!
Really the thread is over 100 pages do you think that everyone has the time to read it? and the questions i asked are perfectly valid as i have looked through the text files and hadn't found the British invasion file and wanted to know when it happens i also wanted to know the logic behind Norse being in the mod.Try reading the thread. Also, no, Scientology will not in any way, shape or form appear in the mod.
EDIT: One More Thing. When I tried to play as the Marquise of Haiti, twice I got a gameover immediately upon game start saying I'd become a theocracy. When I checked what happened to the dude there by playing as a different character, it looked like he got demoted to a landless heir on game start somehow? I'll see if I can check what ruler designing does in a bit.
