New update done on steam and the OP. One nasty bug was caught and corrected.
Instead of :

The difference ? In the first version, if any pop in your empire has the trait, you'll get the event modifiers (I check for traits once a year). In the second, it's only your dominant species which is checked.


Effects from events are visible in the Empire View, in the "Modifier" part of the screen. Under the leader, normally.

Since these modifiers are visible (Discovered this today, one Born-Warrior pop entered my empire and gave me the bonus, but shouldn't have if the event was correctly written from the start, hence update), I had to create a localization for it. It currently looks like this for all languages except french :

@Kaochi I think I remember you saying you don't really like to combine trait effects too much but I was just looking at the current list of traits on the first page, then at the above discussion, and an idea came to me. Why not combine the Aggressive and Competitive traits and under the banner of Competitive? It makes more sense to me linguistically, given that Aggressive is a 'positive' trait, but very much a negative word. The new Competitive traits could look like the following:

Competitive: +25% influence gain from rivalry and +1 max rivalry, cost -2

Extremely Competitive: +50% influence gain and +2 max rivalry, cost -4

I've nerfed the influence gain for balance; feel free to suggest a change or to throw out the idea altogether!

That was my thinking when I came up with Violent. The race is prone to outburts of violence, so they have a high murder rate, which lowers your growth rate.
