How do you create Bishops? I've given one of my counties to one of my Priests.
That is how it is supposed to be. The succession law change comes from gavelkind only being available for barbarians. Since it was the only way I could make the demesne limit much higher for bararians and no one likes gavelkind as far as I know.I have this problem too, I was creating a new glorious Mali empire, but as soon as I civilize I'm a one province count and have to start all over.
Not at all. How did it happen?Gladdig is the succesion law supposed to change from absolute cognatic to agnatic if a male inherits?
You have to give them a temple before you give them the county title. You can't just give a priest a county. There is such a thing as unlanded priests, such as your court chaplain. If you give that guy a barony he'll set up shop as feudal vassal. Well, it works if the priest already has a temple. You'll end up with a priest that has a wrong holding penalty for owning a castle. They'll try to revoke the temple if there's one in the county though. I imagine you're having trouble in this mod because counties start with only 1 holding and quite a random mix of cities, castles, and temples.
I have a hard time understand what you mean. Please explain.Yes, I have a Temple and I gave the Priest who held that Temple as his own the County in which the Temple was in, so he got the title of High Priest. Yet I still do not have a Bishop. Do I need to give another Priest his own County? When I hover my mouse pointer over the Temply picture it recognizes it as a Barony, is that a bug in the mod or is that the way it's suppose to be?
I don't think it is needed. I can't see why it would be.I thought the idea was that the original religions are the pagan religions and the heretics are organized and thus have a head of religion.
Small question. Do I need the republic dlc to play the mod or can it be played without?
My brother gets errors (runtime) and I was wondering that for some reason it was due to that dlc.
I have the steam version of CK2 and I have been having an issue using this interesting mod. When using the mod CK2 crashes at "processing flags". The crash either appears as a runtime error or a generic "CK2 has stopped working" message, always during the same part of loading. I noticed that my documents/paradox interactive/crusader kings 2 folder does not have a mod folder and the only mod folder is in my steam/steamapps/common/crusader kings 2 folder. I am not sure if it is a memory problem since the FAQ describe graphical errors in game. Any advice on how to fix this issue would be appreciated.
Otherwise you can download the CFF Explorer. Then make a backup of ck2.exe in your instalationfolder (mine is in C:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\crusader kings ii). Rightclick on ck2.exe and open it with the program. click on "file header", click on characteristics where it says "click here" and tick the option "app can handle >2gb addresset". click ok. save the file. do the same with ck2game.exe. Play the game.
It's in the faqPretty much what I'm trying to get to is, How do you get a head of religion? Do I need bishops? And I might do an AAR on this mod, I haven't seen any AAR's with this mod.
Q: How do I create a religious head?
A: If the religious authority of a religion is high enough for a long enough time while at the same time there bing an anti-pope, the anti-pope can become the real one if there is none. Only heresies can have religious heads. An antipope can be created out of any priest with your religion with a title higher than baron. (As long as you're a heretic).
However, if your religion is a reformed heresy it is much simpler than that, you just become a religious head yourself by creating the title as you would create any kingdom title.
