So do you read Wheel of Time?
Not my thing, tbh. I'm not a huge fan of time bending/parallell timelines/dimension shifting, that kind of thing! But they finished it in the end, didn't they? Thought he got someone else to take it up when he died?
So do you read Wheel of Time?
I've already made my peace with GRRM tragically leaving it uncompleted when he dies. Frankly, that might not be the worst thing, given how badly the hardcore internet fans will freak out when Daenarys takes the throne. Man, those dudes really *hate* her.
Every time a team member comes on i keep thinking it'll be updated but they just leave without a word![]()
On his Blog he mentions he gets really insulted when people say that cuz he knew the guy who wrote wheel of time
Not to be too snarky, but I'd rather they be working on the mod and checking mod-related messages than checking the message board for the same question, over and over again. Just refresh the 1st page throughout the day. I'm impatient too, but you don't want to piss them off or they won't want to continue the mod. All that frustration can accumulate.
I feel flattered
On the last news it's for tomorrow
If I were them I wouldnt get pissed off by all the impatience I'd be flattered
So who are you guys are gonna play as? and why?
I enjoy playing the Targaryeans (sp?) in the War of the Usurper. Being surrounded by enemies keeps things lively.
But when the new version comes out, I'll probably try the wildlings. Alternatively I might take a far north house like Umber or Mormont.
Had an interesting game as Mormonts before the patch. Interesting in the way my house developed, not in anything I did, as Bear Island is too poor and remote to make much difference. The Old Bear got sick and died at the very start of the War of the Usurper. Desperate for a bride, and finding no good ones, I decided to marry Jorah to his attractive, formidibile cousin. The two had six daughters, all at least trained fighters (two of them were Formidible). Had they been boys, they would have dominated tourneys and maybe wound up in the Kingsguard.
The slightly inbred son was Slow. I started to worry but he developed into a juggernaut of a knight, dominating tourneys from White Harbor to Sunspear. Every so often a peasent would show up saying he'd seen a dragon, and this Young Bear would pravely proclaim he wasn't afraid and gain a point of martial. He was up to 30 by the time he died. He served briefly as Regent for Robb Stark's son. His life's ambition was to fall in love, like his parents did, but sadly that was one quest this bear knight couldn't fullfill.
I enjoy playing the Targaryeans....
Personally, I don't mind the prospect of Daenarys being the last one standing, unless it becomes a "War of the Three Dragons" type of scenario to replace the "War of the Five Kings" (I Like the R+L=J theory) and also I hope that GRRM finishes the series himself, but of the worst happens, I doubt it will be the end. I thought I read it somewhere that he told all the major plot points to the directors of the tv series so at least it can live on that way.I've already made my peace with GRRM tragically leaving it uncompleted when he dies. Frankly, that might not be the worst thing, given how badly the hardcore internet fans will freak out when Daenarys takes the throne. Man, those dudes really *hate* her.
Haha wow that's a pretty awesome story.
Had the patch not come out, I would have made an AAR out of it.
Still no news about the mod update?
