Can you add a option(event, decision or plot, I,m not modder) Which allows the request grant lord paramontship(?) for lord who has best relation with King/queen or is most powerful ?

In my current game Stormland ir ruled by Queen who have no children and siblings and his uncle, Renly live as courtier in Duskendale, so she can't give Stormland someone from her family.

Won't happen for the same reason they can't use the GoT music from HBO it's copyrighted material and all.

Plus why would you want that anyway with the way the DNA changes as they grow older and when they put on different clothes too, it would simply just seem out of place to me, but hey each has his own opinions I guess and tastes for that matter, heh.

That's pretty much what I meant and assumed what "TheGreatSnoop" was leaning towards, which in turn just wouldn't make sense for CK 2 with all the changes to the actual portrait itself as the character ages and such...

No, I didn't mean they should use actual photographs of the actors from the HBO series, I just meant they could edit the character portraits to look more like them.

From what I've seen, the only characters in-game who look like their HBO characters are Eddard Stark and the Mad King (yes he was in a flashback in the HBO series), which I can only assume is intentional?

I don't think characters should look entirely like those from the series. The mod developers should stay true to the books, in my opinion. I rather like that Tywin has golden whiskers and is bald, because, he is described as this in the books.

There's been a rather intense flamewar on the subject. In general, we try to stay true to the descriptions in the books with our visual design, but some influence from the show is pretty much inevitable, and how much varies depending on who's doing the editing (Ned, Robb, and Jon are all based somewhat on the actors who play them on the show, for example, while Tywin looks nothing like Charles Dance)

The current visual design of a bascinet helm for most soldiers may not be exciting, but if Lannisters are made wear those stupid Uruk Hai helmets from the show then I'd learn how to make my own sub-mod.

There isn't actually all that much of visual design if you think about it. Only character portraits, but those are small and only cover the shoulders-up and only seeing the top of the plate mail really doesn't matter too much. So basically this argument has to do with Helms IMO. Or the particulars of female attire, such as Margaery wearing a ridiculous bouquet/ice-cream-cone dress.

I think it is a bad choice not to use the series as the frame of reference for the visual style. The visual style in the mod is bland and not relevant to the majority of players.

I think that's more a fault of Crusader Kings 2, then it is a fault with the mod, if you really feel that the visual style is "bland" (I don't). I also question the validity that the majority of players are unfamiliar with at least one book out of the series. The TV show may be more popular or have more word of mouth, but we're talking about a mod of a game. This is a subset of a subset: Crusader Kings 2 players > A Game of Thrones fans > AGOT mod users.

Is there currently a way to replace your maester without assassinating him? I'm really tired of getting dropouts with 6 learning :(
What's the stop date of this mod? For how long can I play on?

There is a good way. If you have a lot male children or courtiers, often one will ask you, if you send him to the citadel. After a while he will be a maester and you can invite him back in your court and change against the other maester. Normally the traits of cour sons ect. are better. As Dorne my second son is now a maester with lvl 26 learning ;)

I'm in the same situation; I've got the "A Game of Thrones" folder in my Program Files (x86)/steam/.../crusader kings ii/mod folder but there is nothing listed in the Mods list when I launch the game. Any idea what's up?
Have you also got the "A Game of Thrones.mod" file in your mod folder?

I agree. Though i think the devs are working on an "HBO Pack" to make the visual style more aligned with the series.

From what I've seen, the only characters in-game who look like their HBO characters are Eddard Stark and the Mad King (yes he was in a flashback in the HBO series), which I can only assume is intentional?
Wait, I don't remember the Mad King flashback in the show... what episode was it?

EDIT: Been playing as the Iron Isles lately and declared myself a de jure kingdom. For some reason I keep getting events about having titles (in The North) that I no longer need every month or so. Known issue?
