Ah ok, I'll certainly try that. Thanks for the tip, I really, really, REALLY hope it's that simple!
Ready to start my 2nd game and wanted to play a Targaryen.
1. any advice on starting time period?
2. any advice on playing Targaryen? It appears brother-sister marriages are common, do I get imbred by doing this? Is there any advantage to marrying inside my Dynasty?
A quick question...and I hope this doesn't step on anyone's toes.
YOUR MOD IS AMAZING!!!(Not a question but should be stated). But I was wondering, is there a way for me to edit the history files to like "add family members?" Say I want to make myself a Stark, so I add my name as one of the Stark kids, assign my char ID(ergh, how do I pick that number) give me traits...some greensight, a direwolf or two etc....Is that possible? Or let's say I want to attach myself to some old house...or attach myself to house connected through lineage to the Starks or the Baretheon?
Is that possible? Sort of make a non-canon character in the game?

You can give yourself one of the "House X" traits during Character Customization (so long as you have the Ruler Designer DLC, anyway), which will within a day or two switch you over to being of the chosen dynasty. However, it's a tad broken because your kids tend to wind up at random places on the dynasty list rather than branch out below you properly. This is also a problem with some vanilla events that add 'lost' or adopted family members to your dynasty.
You can still force people to Take the Black, it's just done via event now rather than "I just had you (possibly) kidnapped and imprisoned, to the Wall with ye!"
So if I where to say capture a bunch of prisoners in a battle or imprisoned a bunch of upstart rebels who dared to defy me how can i send them to the wall without claiming their titles which I don't want?

So is there any way to create a Lord Paramountcy as someone who isn't the Iron Throne? i.e. the relationship between the North and the Riverlands in Clash of Kings. I am King of the Rock and I own the Reach, I want to give it to the Tyrells as my vassals
After playing the War of Conquest starting point I was wondering what would be the most historical way for the invasion to be played out. From what I have read it seems that the histrical invasion was a 3 way war against The Stormlands, Iron Isles, and Mountain and Vale with Mountain and Vale being only a naval battle and as such can be discounted for the purpose of this game. As for the rest of the war I assume it would be a simple matter of dismissing the preraised levies and declaring a dragon conquest on either the Stormlands or Iron Isles while using the game prompt to declare war on the other I don't know how an event such as the Tully's leading a revolt against the kings of the Iron Islands would play out but killing both the kings to end the wars would be much more easily done. The field of fire should be easily accomplished since the Rock and the Reach are allied and will join each other in battle, you would however have to find a way to kill off the entire Gardener house and could then hand the paramount title to the Tyrell. Both the North and the Vale could be considered surrenders and placing Orys on the throne in the Stormlands has an event.
This is only a rough idea of what it would be and I am interested in hearing the opinion of any one more versed in the mod or the books to give their idea on how a semi historical invasion could be accomplished.
