Can't wait for the next update to come out. Currently I noticed in a multiplayer session that the randomly generated names for ironborn and wildlings are the same... I had a daughter named zia and a son named dan, while my friend had a daughter named zia. I don't know if that's intentional, as I don't know much about game of thrones except for the show. I don't think dan is a very wildish name tho.

Does anybody know why the Tagaryen side on the War of the Usurper always organises itself so quickly while the Starks, Arryn's, Tully's and the Baratheon's can't even have their armies aid Certainly with the Reach having 30K troops it's very difficult to beat all the Reachmen, certainly combined with the other pro-Targaryens (20K men I guess)..

Just.. Why?

I noticed this as well. I couldn't win that war as the rebels no matter how hard I tried. Was simply overwhelmed by sheer numbers. :(

Should the Iron Throne, atleast the AI Iron Throne not be allowed to give in to plots demanding the Throne?
As it seems to pass from king to LP without war or bloodshed far more often that is reasonable.

Hi all,
Not sure where to post this, so I apologise in advance if that's not the right place. I am looking for some kind of tutorial as how to install the GoT mod. I'm playing on a Mac and I am using Steam. I've found a few useful links and tried the solutions, but it's not working for me (i.e., when I load the game, it's still Europe I see and not Westeros). Does loading a mod require a supplementary step during the load screen besides ticking the box?

yeah thats the nickname system for you

BTW, how do the nicknames work? Not just "the Just" or "The holy" but how does a character get nicknames like The Stag Knight, The Wise Spear, The Laughing Dragon or The Wild Wolf? Never had it happen to a character I was playing.

My favorite, was Joffrey Lannister, The Black Lion. For extra points, he wound up Lord Commander of the Night's Watch.

The best way to get answers like that is to look in the files. In Nicknames in Commons it gives the conditions gaining the various nicknames.

I think "The black ___" also happens to tyrants, since I just had my liege become it and he's certainly not part of the night's watch.
You are close enough.
nick_the_black_wolf = {
allow = {
age = 14
OR = {
has_character_flag = house_stark
any_dynasty_member = { has_character_flag = house_stark}
}
OR = {
trait = cruel
trait = impaler
}

NOT = { any_dynasty_member = { has_nickname = nick_the_black_wolf } }
}
chance = {
factor = 5
}
}

Anyway, can you make trigger so it will be not "NOT = { any_dynasty_member = { has_nickname = X }" but "no alive dynasty members that have that nickname AND no dynasty members with that nickname and same name". So there can be two Black Wolfs in history, but not in one time and not by the same name.

Makes sense to me, but maybe it is not so canon? My knowledge of Westeros in that field is lacking.

Hello, can you change or turn off religion penalty when conquering new territory? I started playing clash of the kings scenario as Rh'llor, and conquered castle, which has base religion of Faith, and I cant use it properly for about next 40 years, making my gameplay experience totally lacking enjoyment. So I think its pretty unreasonable to give so big penalty of -200 percent levy size and -75 percent tax and -50 levy reinforcement for so long, can you change it to about 5-10 years? 40 years is madness and totally unplayable.

I second that. With the current system there's no future for a person who decides to play with R'hllor as their base religion.

Can you guys make named it so characters don't fight in battle so often? It seems to be happening a lot in my games.

Also, it is ridiculously easy to have bastards in this game. I once had five or six women pregnant at once. The 'visit x's chambers' needs to result in less babies.

Then there should be some "moon tea" event for girls, ending possible pregnancy with possible death of the girl if health is low (it is poisonous a little). But, generally, making bastards should be easy.
