Is it possible to give some sort of better combat modifier to Aegon or have there be a higher chance of Dorne joining him? In all my games he is crushed really quickly.

Also, why don't the Ironmen have an elective government?

They do if you declare yourself King of the Iron Isles.

Also, the Iron Islanders should get a better title when declaring King, like King of Salt and Rock because that was the title if you read the wiki. So King Balon of Salt and Rock.

What you've got to remember is that the Kingsmoot was a RARE occurrence. The Iron King was a regular old primogeniture since the time that one guy slaughtered all his challengers at the Kingsmoot (see Urron Greyiron at A Wiki of Ice and Fire). The fact that they did one when Balon died was because Theon was captured and culturally different. Ideally, we'd set up some sort of way where Kingsmoots would be conditional on certain things occurring (such as having a weak/different cultured heir, or having younger sons that were too strong).

I appointed the heir to Runestone as Kingsguard, but he's still heir despite being divested. So Yohn's son(the Kingsguard member) will apparently inherit regardless

kL3Qq.jpg

Also, this REALLY needs to be fixed. Maybe create an event for a low opinion to trigger a megawar? It's been years at 131 revolt risk and he hasn't revolted. LP's never revolt but Lords do. A very serious problem that leads to a broken and boring game as King

What's the best way to accomplish something as Littlefinger?

It's easy enough to become Hand of the King / Spymaster / Master of Coin of the Iron Throne. Even Regent. You can even sleep with other women at court and get some high born bastard sons. But then if you can't get enough land, other high lords won't accept marriages with you. So, how can you get assigned titles and land? Like, if I'm Hand of the King and Regent of a two years old king and the title of Lord Paramount of the Vale is vacant, is there a plot or a way to ask it?

Also, I feel that those in the council should have more power, and especially Hand of the King and Regent. All they have at the moment is more power in plots, but that's it, plus some random events from vanilla in which you can steal money from the treasure or you can kill your king, or lock him / her in a tower, declare him mad (he'll become Incapable) and be a regent for life. The problem is that you won't be ruling anyway: the staff should find a way to give more power to Hand of the Kings (especially if the king is an idiot who doesn't do stuff himself) and Regents, to give them the impression they're actually ruling. Maybe give them the chance to ask for juicy vacant titles, give them claims and stuff like that?

As Littlefinger as Hand of the King and Regent with the rest of the Council in my pocket with a two years old king the crown often made decisions that went against my interests and I couldn't do anything about it.

As Littlefinger I was able to put myself in such a good situation that my son was able to take the Iron throne. I started with the earliest scenario where Littlefinger is 16 years old. A few years passed by and Jon Arryn died, leaving behind only a daughter that became the new ruler of Vale. A few more years passed by when I for some reason did a personal interaction with the ruler of Vale and realised that i could "visit her chambers" despite the fact the she was about 14years old. I gave her a good tumble and soon enough she gave birth to an bastard son which I of course legitimized. I repeated the same process a few times and a 10 years later or so she died and left my son as ruler of vale. Eventually Littlefinger died and I started playing as his oldest soon and eventually got an ambition to institute elective succession for the Iron throne. I succeeded in doing so and was a few years later the ruler of the Iron Throne.

I guess that is a very gamey use of some functions, but it felt very much Littlefinger to do so :)

Is there a way to make Aegon's invasion happen at any time rather than just during a civil war?

It can happen anytime as long as Aegon lives, civil war or no. Although in the current version if Aegon is elected commander of the GC the invasion cannot happen

Is it possible to give some sort of better combat modifier to Aegon or have there be a higher chance of Dorne joining him? In all my games he is crushed really quickly.

We've noticed Dorne doesnt join often enough, and are trying to find a way of making the Martell's favour Aegon more.

Or give Viserys Dragons, a slave army and the Dothraki.

Ah, the ultimate alternate scenario event. I would like to see this happen, and have somewhat similar conditions to Aegon's landing, like if your playing before the Clash of Kings Scenario where Viserys is still alive and gains all the accomplishments that Daenarys receives. Would be interesting situation if both Viserys and Aegon land at the same time, leading to a massive civil war for the Iron Throne.

@Beric; how long has he been appointed? Apparently it recalculates on its own after a while.

Though you could get around it by swapping to Yohn Royce, changing the inheritance law with the console, then changing it back to primogeniture, which should set the heir correctly. That's what I did when something similar happened to me (well, barring the changing character part).

We're working on giving him Harrenhall if the Lannisters win the war.
A part from that, it should be easy with such a character to have fun

I'd rather have a generic non deterministic solution.

Like being able to start a plot to get a title if you're a powerful regent.

So, for some reason in my handsoff game (Greyjoy Rebellion scenario) both Arya and Sansa were skipped in the line of succession. Neither had a divested trait, both were matrilineally married. The North passed to Donella Stark, a girl born later and *regularly* married to a member of house Brax.

The same thing happened with the Baratheons: Joffrey was killed, so Myrcella would have been the heir. Yet she was skipped in the line of succession, and Mina Baratheon inherited. Again no divested traits or anything that would disqualify Myrcella.

Is this a bug, or what's going on?

Again, will the revolt risk be fixed? As King you can have the lp of the iron islands at 500 revolt risk for 30 years and he won't revolt. Meanwhile, petty lords will revolt.

could I ask for a save from when this was happening? I will try and play with some defines values and see if I can provoke a revolt

Unfortunately, I don't have a save as the King but start up a game as Robert on the throne and insult Balon until he is at -100. Check the threats tab in intrigue, he'll have over 130 revolt risk but won't revolt. He will not revolt unless you revoke his title or try to imprison him.

Well I tried increasing revolt aggression from 0.75 to something greater than 1 and the game crashed, so there isnt a lot we can do I'm afraid. At least they are more likely to revolt when a mega war sets off.
