Quick question about the Duel Engine and personal combat: How exactly can the player cause duels to occur? In my current playthrough(as a ruler generator character btw) I have yet to see that event occur to my character in any form, but I see other characters dying from personal combat all the time (Joffery, in fact, was killed my Maryn Trant.) Is this just a problem for created characters, or is this a bug. Also, I do have a dragon, if that makes a difference.

Maybe there should be decision for human players (and option in dialogue event chain). Like pop-up with two options, one is for nothing, which AI should pick in 100% cases, second is for converting, with normal piety cost.

Wouldnt it be easier to just use CK2s conversion events but limit them so only Rhllor characters can use them? as religion = X is an easy condition to set up and then everything else is already rolling no trouble.

Duels can be triggered in a variety of contexts. The most common is the battlefield duel. To trigger one, you must be a leader in a war (either the attacker or defender, or one of their allies) and leading an army, and be in battle against an army led by an enemy leader. Think Robert and Rhaegar on the Trident.

Other situations that can trigger duels include trials-by-combat and the Tower of Joy chain.

From what i could tell from the books, Most Northmen or Ironborn wouldn't convert to the lord of Light, they have their own magic after all(Or they at least think they do). So maybe just events for those following the Seven/Essos religions.

You could probably have an event fire for when a ruler becomes a follower of R'hllor that makes the red priest fire off an event for everyone in the rulers court to convert which is akin to what happened when Stannis converted, people took sides.

^ It's not just you.

There are a few things I'd like to point out/suggest. Hopefully you can fix/take a look at them soon.

-Tywin Lannister and Petyr Baelish are missing the Chaste/Celibate perks.
-Robb needs his ''Young Wolf'' nickname in Clash of Kings campaign
-Widowed perk is useless. Just replace it with Depressed/Chaste/Drunkard perk(s) since becoming a widow is not the same as being gelded. (f.ex. Lyanna's death did not stop Robert. :D)
-When you pass your Valyrian sword to another member of your house, it gives all the swords(assuming there are several like in my campaign when Jon died -> Longclaw passed to Robb who had Ice as well).
-Lyanna Stark needs Duelist/Skilled Fighter perk (She beat the squires in Harrenhal easily)
-Dawn disappears when Arthur Dayne dies
-Edd Tollet and Bowen Marsh are almost always the heirs to the Night's Watch. They did not have the needed support in the books.
-You could add a turncloak event concerning Mance when playing as the Lord Commander of the NW
-It's annoying to click on the capital regions, trying to find out if the Paramount is still alive(f.ex. during war). You could make a pop-up message for important battles which turn the side of the war w/ announcement of the deaths of important characters.
-Firing option for King concerning the Kingsguard(due to Cersei's initiative) in Clash of Kings campaign
-Rainbow Guard needs to be added to the Clash of Kings campaign
-Kingsguard should exist only when the King's religion is the Seven(f.ex. the amount of the kingsguards is the amount of Gods, and Stannis would not care less about the old traditions if he got the throne)
-The Red Keep is taken first when sieging the county of Kings Landing(even though realistically the city should be taken first). Also a bit more bonus to warscore when conquering the Kings Landing since the King is in there. He should not just disappear/continue ruling from Kings Landing when it's been sacked.

These are mostly just suggestions/observations, so I wrote them in here instead of to the bug topic.

Oi! I know this was posted awhile ago, but why the heck would either Tywin or Littlefinger have chast ore celibate? Lord Tywin was caught with Tyrions whore naked in his bed before Tyrion killed them both and Petyr Baelish, not only took Lysas maidenhead he keeps kissing sansa, no doubt just wanting her claim like all the rest but still, there is no reason either of them should have either of those traits

For the mechanics, it stops them from marrying the first girl with good stats

That's what troubled Cersei; it was known in public that her father had not had a woman after Joanna's death. So it was nonsense but the common knowledge was, that Tywin lived in celibate. Petyr on the other hand refused other women after he could not get Cat. Lysa was simply a tool of comfort when he was young, depressed and drunk.

The hotfix solution (discovered and corrected for the next version by our fearless leader, Cabe), is to comment out two lines of code in the maester_events.txt file in the Events directory. For anyone with the technological know-how, you needn't wait for us to update, you can do it yourself. Here's how:

Both lines read exactly the same:

Code: Select all
any_claim = { remove_claim = ROOT }

If you open the maester_events.txt file up in Notepad++ these two errors occur at lines 57 & 81. For people without Notepad++ (you should get it, though), they're in the events titled "Archmaester gets honorary title" and "Maester gets honorary title."

Drop a single "#" in front of each line of code and it should stop most of the CTDs.
CTD solution copied from AGOT citadel forum
