The game I played as Japan, china decided to join me in the fight against com. china. The game went very well, and I lost (yes lost) even though I tried my hardest to help germany defeat USSR.

USSR wrecked germany while holding me back and USA did a d-day. I even went back to an earlier save and tried to be more agressive with my help for germany, but there was no way to win.

This was on the setting just above normal, and I was shocked that I was "beaten" in solo play. Very satisfying.. USSR was just TOO powerful for us, even with an allied non-puppet china.

I'll have to try again, maybe as another country.

  • There's a CV model 6 i guess in BC 30.000ton. :rofl:
  • Several techs at the start (edit) missing in germany such as fighters and interceptors, there are others.
  • I already lost 10 games with germany, damn soviets. I don't think you should balance that. :D
  • Navy techs are a little bit off. ex: DD's, should be:WWI->1500->2000->2500->.... and the last one should be semi modern to represent the new philosofies of Destroyers.
  • In all games with germany i lost rommel in 40-41, guderian? 41-43, it feels like a problem i don't know if its meant to be like that.

Ok I'm going to give this a try after Nico's good reports!! One question though.......I made a new copy of my Pdox folder. Where do I install the mod into so that I dont lose my vanilla? TY!

Here's the problem I'm running into.

When I go to install the "no time delay" hoi2.exe file I get an error .......permission not granted. So if anybody can help me get this mod rolling that would be great thanks!

I presume you have installed the Mod correctly, so what i did after the install: apply tech teams start date and then notimelimit.

Ahhh...ok, Yeah I believe I installed it right. I made a copy for my regular vanilla and then installed the mod into the original installation. Then at the end it asked me about the tech teams and start date etc..that's when i got the error for the time limit thingy.

Ok here's my first report!

I played SU, 1934, on normal level.

Germany Dow'd Chek because the event didn't fire in their favor I pressume... Poland Dow'd Germany and forced me to dow them to prevent german total occupation of Poland....That cost me because of the dessent.

Then, Danzig never fired and the Western allies did not join the war. Italy never joined the Axis and Germany did nothing else for the remainder of the game. I played until July 41. :(

Also, I think the Spanish events are a little overkill and I was never a big fan of the long drawn out Tech trees. Sometimes I ran into moments where the clock didn't move for up to 30 seconds. Not sure what that was all about.

The new graphic icons are really kewl!

This is probably just a case of my bad luck, so I will try again in hopes that I may get a good fight out of the German AI. Thanks!

Ok more then.

  • AI likes armies of 1 and 2 divisions
  • I reorded some of the starting tech for germany
  • modified the Z-plan events
  • modified tech_names.csv and added/modified things in models.csv

you(the boss of the mod) want to sample it?


PS: about the CV in the BC tech, yeah i went to check and all major powers had theire WWI and post WWI BC's converted to CV's.

dirty_anal: no, the mod34 don't work with daim, but the mod34 have a improvement AI, and works fine

Lusitan: all is normal, the CV6 is that because was a BC converter. The german techs is normal because the Treaty of Versailles prohibit it. The died of the german generals is not cause of mod34, is random in the battles

The armies of 1 or 2 division can be fixed, but not only depend for mod34

Yes, i'm interesting in your changes in z-plan, tech_names.csv, models.csv,...

Was getting a crash bug on the 'Create Scandinavia' event - anyone have this, and does the new version fix it? Downloading it now, thanks quin :D

Edit: Just checked it, it crashes as soon as you resume the time after creating Scandanavia - even in 0.30 ==> this is the DD version.

Events all fire fine up until that point, could it be a further setup event??? (I can't read Spanish so I can't check the events =( )

Hi the problem is in event 349424 is the country command that attempts to change NOR into SCA.

command = { type = country which = SCA }


To get around this I had GER inherit NOR after which the SCA event where GER holds NOR, DEN and SWE fires fine.

As I was playing GER I then gave the inherited NOR units I had inherited back to the new SCA

If you can release SCA by event WITHOUT controlling all of its cores (As NOR would control some) it would work - Test it and see if it works!

In that case you would have to edit the whole chain of events - Something I would leave to the owner of the mod

Is it possible that someone from the mod could post the event id for the japansese Victory against China? I have heard that there were several ways of shaping China after a victory, but wasnt able to locate the events in your mod..

Also noticed that the events inside db/mod34 has no description, and that these are not located in the conf folder where I thought they would be, a hint to where the various texts for the events in english would be very much appriciated.

Hi,

Downloaded and installed your mod this evening, and been playing on your 1934 scenario as the US for around 2 hours but had to give up because of two issues.

1) My production dropped dramatically over time, despite heavily researching Industry techs. In the end I had 0 on every production slider, meaning I couldn’t research, raise money, make supplies, or produce anything. Is this intentional? I can’t see how it is, as there’s no way out of it as you can't do anything at all.
Otherwise, is it something wrong I was doing? I cant see how to attach files on this forum, otherwise i'd upload my save game.

2) I read on one of the pages that other Nations don't research in 1934 scenerio until later, either due to a glitch in the Mod or something generally up with the game that’s out of the modders control.

After getting frustrated with my game by not being able to produce anything I thought I’d see if other nations were in the same situation as me. The UK could produce, but indeed it wasn't researching anything. If somehow I pulled myself out of this production hole I feel this is rather unfair, as I’d have an unnatural lead in research over my opponents.


I've therefore just this second started the 1938 scenario instead. This time at least I can start producing things, and other Nations seem to research too.

However, understandibly i'm concerned that I might spend another long time playing then get frustrated if my nation grinds to a halt (as described above). Can someone reassure me that this doesn’t happen in this scenario, and maybe give me some tips on how to increase my production capabilities in general?


Generally looking forward to this mod though (once I get the hang of it), it certainly appears a lot of effort has gone into this!!
