Hello everybody,

I've been playing CK2 since 2012 and I really love this game, I've played more than 500 hours on it and I continue to enjoy it.

When I'm thinking about what I would like to improve on it is to have a little more of action and be more active when a battle is occurring. Today when a battle start you only can watch you army defeat or be defeated by the other army and it's a little frustrating.

Certainly this is due to my personal experience with video games. I remember when I was younger, some video games where it was possible to alternate between strategy and action phase.

For example I remember the game Joan of Arc which was really in the mix (
), or Theatre Europe (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Theatre_Europe) , but I could mention also North & South (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/North_&_South_(video_game)).

All these games gave us the possibility to change the curse of time being active on the battlefield.

I know some other games that allow us to play on the strategy/tactic of the battlefield like Total War games, but it's not what I'm looking for. I just want to be in the battlefield and slashing around.

I enjoy playing Chivalry Medieval Warfare or For Honor, but they don't give me the strategy level I need to stay on my game for hours.

So I had an idea : Why not mixing games together ? I mean, it would be really cool to move your army in CK2 and when the battle start to have a popup asking if I would be part of the battle, if yes it would launch another game (Chivalry or For Honour for exemple), let's play a battle and the result of the action game would influence the result of the battle in CK2. Of course it would not allow to win a war with 200 soldiers against the French army but it could influence the results more or less.

What do you think about this idea ? Do you know some mods doing this already ? Is there anybody interested to work on this ?

Let me know what you are thinking about it.

Regards,

That is entirely impossible, it is not even remotely feasible for ck2 to launch another game play through a battle with it then export the data back to be used to influence the battle in ck2.
I suggest you go and play Mount and Blade, it is pretty much exactly what you want.
