Hey, so I had something weird happen in a game. I'm not sure if it is repeatable or not (it would take me a while to reproduce) so I figured I would just tell you what happened.

Playing as Japan from 1933, I built up for the war against China. 1937 comes around and I declare war via the Marco Polo Bridge Incident. The weird thing is: The Chinese had no way to resist me. I would give attack commands and as soon as it started they would go to retreat. I know this is because they had a lack of supplies (Negative 500 per day) but the entire war was entirely just my troops marching through (Nationalist) China as fast as possible.

Chinese econonomy worked in style 5/60 IC,right?

At the time of the war, I believe they had 10 IC.

When I played as Germany (new game starting from 1933 scenario), the Chinese again were totally destroyed by the Japanese. I gave the Chinese 20,000 Supplies (when I saw that by August 1937 half of China was Japanese territory) which only served to delay the war until 1938.

Personally, I dislike these events that add "free units" to the game... sounds cheating to me.
Also, on the resources subject (like less IC and Chinese defeat to Japan) if anybody has a clue of what's causing it, please, share, so I can give a look on it.
I still have no time to play, so I cannot see what's happening by myself, but I don't remember of experience such behavior in my previous games.

Is this compatible with the cold war tech tree? Thanks.
Unfortunatelly, not.

People... I'm thinking of add a 90% chance for AI choose vanilla stats in the Social Investments, Taxes and Wages decisions. So, eventually the AI will make use of this, but it will be more likely human player options. It shall avoyd some weird behavior on lesser IC and lack of resources for some nations. I am also tweaking an event about Chinese militia spam that's in the mod.

Ah, no matter, this mod is a blast, I stumbled across it when on the NWO forum section. Couple questions; when playing as democratic germany is there any way to "go it alone" so to speak? I mean, for example, restoring the monarchy then reestablishing an empire of sorts? Secondly, as my pseudo commie germany playthrough Ive just conquered france and set up a puppet republic (germany is officially the GDR even though its national socialist lol) th non aggression pact with the soviets auto cancelled by event and they dow'd instantly, is this right? Lastly, if I choose the 1933 start, and play as another country, will the german AI always pick nazi germany? Or will we expect to see all kinds of different germany's down the line?

Keep up the great work, having good fun with this mod!

From my experience with the mod, the AI will always choose to become Nazi Germany. Which I like because it allows me to play as, say, Italy without suddenly realizing the Communist Germans up north are gonna destroy me.

You could always make them player only decisions.

Yes, AI will always choose the more likely historical decisions.
But as Dem Germany you can reform the Central Powers (it's kind the Axis, but different).
And as Commie Germany the Sovs DoW 'cause the events run in a diferent way... you may ally with them or choose your own path, if you do the last, a war between the 4th International and the Soviets cannot be avoyded.

You can reform the central powers? I take it you have to elect the DNVP and restore the monarchy? But by going democratic am I hamstringing my future prospects?
