I wonder if it is possible to memorize lances for quicker deployment. Of course, repairs and injuries might have them switching up enough that this isn't useful.
I suppose HBS' system includes more information: "Defender" is probably the title of the highest ranked skill and in what category. This includes both your rank and specialization. Also interesting that the Mechwarriors are not using the traditional green/regular/vet/elite system and are listed as Recruit, Defender and Gunner indicating a specialisation focus.

Atlas with what appears to be just an A/C2! ....Nooooo!!!! lol.
I guess that's what happens when you spend ALL your money on an Atlas...
- MechTech1: "Well what do we have to put on this beast???
- MechTech2: "Well, there is this spare A/C2 hanging about."
- MechTech1: "Perfect!"
Looking at the video, it appears you get that specialization title when you reach rank 5 and select you first super-power. Gunner is gunnery, Defender is guts tree.I suppose HBS' system includes more information: "Defender" is probably the title of the highest ranked skill and in what category. I think the most interesting part of this is the LANCE RATING indicator on the lower right side. Note how it appears to have 10 levels of rating not unlike the Mission Difficulty rating. Both consisting of 5 icons equally divided into half-step segments.
Could this mean, this "device" is intended to tell the commander how comparable his lance is to the one he'll face on the current mission?
( i.e. swap out your mechs until the lance rating shows at least 3 stars when going on a 3 skull mission??)
I'm so stoked!
