It has been a while since I last bought a Paradox game--EU2 to be exact--but I recently bought Warband, and it's been great so far. However, I've encountered a problem that a Google/forum search turned up nothing for. Count Beranz defected and became Beranz Noyan, something stated in his character report. However, if you look at the faction report for the Khergit Khanate, his name is missing from the vassal list, as well as the list lords by relations list. Moreover, if you ask a Swadian Count or a Khergit Noyan, "I want to know the location of someone," his name simply does not appear. I have no idea what could have caused or how to resolve it, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Never had that one. Lords can go into exile when they have been expelled from all possible courts.

Does not look like this one as the game looks young.

What states the note screen with all names available? This tool gives the last updated news about a faction members. You should see from here if this lord is fiefed. If he is, you might find him at his fief. If he is not fiefed, he must be at his King's court.

I dont know if you have one of your companions scout the other kingdoms, but it might have happened Beranz has already defected from Kerghit for another kingdom and the news piece is not available because too fresh.

The best is to check the characters screen via notes tab. Never seen once a single character being erased from this list and this should give his whereabouts. Look for the name Beranz everywhere as he might be in one other faction.

This said, the disappearance of a lord is not lethal as lords quit the board by going into exile. One more or one less...
