Are you playing the same version with same patch as the save was made from?

In that case I would like you to completely remove the game, delete the 1.2 patch.

Then reinstall from CD, then Download a new copy of the patch, and install that.

I assume if you start a new game then save it, you have no problem loading that save.

If that is the case, then the only thing you can do is start a new game or just choose to ignore the errors and see if you can play on.

I really don't know what could be causing this other than perhaps you had installed some mod and forgotten that you had?

I just remembered something. I started this game long ago without a patch. Then I downloaded 1.1 patch, and just a few days later 1.2 came out, so I downloaded it too. Maybe that is the problem?

Well I knew that was the case but since you said it wasn't I really did not want to contradict you in public.
