Missing Battleship Artwork

Hi everyone.

Today I was watching Bridger's stream on YouTube and noticed that as Italy, he had artwork for the Littorio and Impero class battleships in his Naval Research tab.

I do realize that they finally just put the Heavy Cruiser artwork back in the game, but since when has there been BB artwork and how do I obtain it? It looks great.

Are you sure it wasn't a mod? I know many mods that add excellent artwork to the vehicles. It amazes me how more artwork has not been added to the existing nations besides Germany with Oak.

I don't believe there is any unique 2D art for naval in the base game. I suspect what you saw was some kind of mod.

IIRC there are a few unique 2D icons for some vessels. There was one for German heavy cruisers in the pre-order pack atleast. Don't know about the Italian battleships though.

Most likely a mod, though I do know the Japanese Yamato class ships either have unique artwork already or some modder discovered an unused file.

He stated he wasn't using a mod (he read my question). Another viewer booted up the game and confirmed that he had them also.

I'll have to find it once he uploads it.

EDIT:

38:05 mark.

You can clearly see unique artwork for the 1940 and 1944 BB's. Heavy Cruiser artwork is the only unique naval artwork that has been available, afaik. So how do some people have this and not others?

Edit#2: I have looked through the Naval mods and I can't find any that have those pieces of artwork. @podcat , could you settle this maybe? Are there supposed to be BB artworks for the majors?
