"miracle cure" for maimed people...

lately, for some reason, many guys from the other patrician families are getting maimed at early ages, game says "only a miracle could heal them" and I became curious...Is there actually a chance for a maimed to make a comeback and heal? im just curious just in case one of my characters get maimed in the future..

If you can randomly spend 50 gold to get cured of leprosy, surely there should be, but I've never seen one...

I think at one point my character was maimed and then about fifteen years later was wounded in battle, which removed the maimed trait, but it's more of an abusable bug than a miracle.

Yes, there's actually "miracles" that heal them. Admittedly the "only a miracle could heal them" was in the vanilla game but the miracle was included in Sons of Abraham.

BTW: the "some reason" is half-failed assassination attempts sometimes maim the victims.

Edit: um... I'm not sure. I heard of such events but never saw them. :|

I got assasinated once with that weird "i go out my fave balcony to take a breath of air" event, but it seems unlikely that you could survive that one haha

I had that once while playing as a steppe nomad. I wouldn't have thought that the fall from a one story yurt would have been fatal but what do I know ?

haha yes, I had great times hunting in the lush wilderness of...venice (?!) I imagine the guys mounted shooting rats scurrying around on the streets...

I had a very small child assassinated by poisoned wine. Given his very young age, unpoisoned wine could probably kill him too :|

well, all around southern europe, 50 years ago, when stuff like coke wasnt still widespread, it was common for children to get soda +wine at the table...

You can also be cured of maimed on a very rare chance if you take a pilgramage to santiago I believe.

You can get maimed while asleep.

I killed a courtier when she was sitting on a balcony and I rammed her with my wooden horse when I was seven...

You can lose maimed if you get wounded by certain events, though the new patch is completely overhauling injuries. Maimed doesn't last forever now, it eventually "heals" into a less severe trait.

Well, actually first coca colas had a certain dose of cocaine in it and was advertised for kids. No to mention that cocaine itself was claimed to be a runny nose medicine, also for kids.
