1. Seems I am getting a lot of size 16 and smaller planets recently. Does RNGesus just hate me?

2. How can a size 12 planet have 5/14/6 districts? I mean, surely the max for a district type cant be more than the planet size?

Why would that be the case when there is Mastery of Nature, Expansion traditions, and some planetary features that can add more available districts to what you can build past the planet size?

I've got a planet that is size 25 that has room for 31 districts, thanks subterranean civ!

Its a minor thing. More often than not, you have a size 14 planet with 5/1/3, i.e., not nearly enough districts. When I get a size 10-12 planet with 20+ districts it just makes me scratch my head and wonder where they are, if not on the planet.

The events and traditions, are also somewhat headscratching, like you just made more planet out of thin air. :)

Just a level of abstraction that disconcerts me.

Does the planet have 14 mineral districts slots by default or did you build a mining hub on it? The mining hub now adds two district slots.

Also the expansion tradition finisher adds 1 max districts to the planet, mastery of nature allows you to increase it by 2 more so you absolutely could eventually take advantage of those if you want a planet with 15 mining districts.

Not making things out of thin air, you're making more efficient use of the space, or possibly using parts of the planet you didn't before. E.g. Us humans making deep sea colonies, or colonizing the Antarctic. Maybe making these places more livable, but that's more like removing a blocker.

Also, like China making Islands in the South China Sea. Won't go into the politics on that, but that's another thing you might do.

I know that's what it's supposed to mean .... mastery of nature etc .... it's just funny to refer to as planet SIZE and then the size changes ... like you're pumping air into a beach ball.

And as you said, most of what you referred to were engineering projects or 'blockers'. .

It would be more correct to split the concepts of planet size and available districts, and just have more blockers requiring higher level techs or costing more to clear.

If I see a size 20 planet with 10/10/10 districts available, I just assume that some areas of the planet are suitable for more than one application. Maybe there is a some great farmland that has rich mineral deposits under it. If I saw a size 20 planet with 22/x/x then I’d scratch my head. I guess prospecting or something added some extras.
