To be fair, he represents the majority of people who's first knowledge of the Battletech universe will be this game and how they would approach it. Sure, those of us can recite the entire TRO 3025 in our sleep can all cringe at his tactical decisions but he's having fun and his viewers are responding to this positively.
One thing I have to bring up though. Almost no people, even from Beta streams, realize you can check hit percentage before committing to a movement. This is such a crucial aspect of the combat it MUST be made more obvious to players who haven't followed HBS's stream's religiously. Overall, the first tutorial mission is somewhat inadequate for newcomers in explaining the relationship between weapons, range, damage, hit location, facing, heat management and stability.
