I'd be very cautious about scaring players away, its not like we have lots of fresh players queuing up to fill the gaps...

I would also like to introduce an 'AI' penatly for anyone late. I.e we go at 4 and anyone who is late will have to wait 30 minutes while their country is AIed. It can't be too hard to start up the computer 15 minutes before session start and fire up eu2 straight away.
Hopefully we can either scare latecomers away, or cure their lateness with these measures.![]()
I'd prefer to play with 5 players who we play 4 full hours with, than 15 players we play 2 hours with.Dr Bob said:I'd be very cautious about scaring players away, its not like we have lots of fresh players queuing up to fill the gaps...
But it would start ontime!Dr Bob said:You are silly, if we are left with portugal, spain, austria, poland and persia it would not be much of a game.

Van Engel said:Surely everyone wants to play in this game and thus could make 5-10mins extra free time so we can start on time. I can't believe that no-one is able to do that on a Sunday afternoon.
Even if the rule I suggested is passed or not, I won't be staying around if more sessions turn out how they have been the last few weeks.

Nabukodonosor said:There is a lot of oposition to OE and its bright future. However OE is great part of world's history and I believe all of you who are now for its destruction, woudl have a different opinion if you were not its neighbours. I'm definitely for editing rebeled balkan minors back to it, even if that means Sweden will have to send armies to help Austria against OE.
However, final decision is not made yet since we have no player for OE. Pls, all of you, don't play backstabbing game out of EUII engine and find some decent player for OE. I will be carefull to listen to voice of people and edit only what won't upset all of you gangers too much, but to substract OE from equasion is quite another matter.

You dont seem to understand that this was no accident. The fall of Ottomans had been planned and prepared for ever since the start. We fought to accomplish just that. I declared war soon after Austria was done to cause maximum damage, we WANT it dead and buried, not dead and then resurrected artificially. Im highly against editing back a goddamn thing to it.
Sure we would think otherwise if OE wasnt our neighbour, but so would those who now arent if they were stuck right next to it.
OE great part of worlds history? Yeah well...so was Denmark, and the situation between OE and Persia right now is the same as it was for you and Denmark, world just aint big enough for the two of you.
OE is dead, or will be dead, with or without edits, with or without player, live with it.
And anyway, Persia, Venice, Austria, Poland and even Netherlands and The Knights have expanded to areas that are usually Ottoman. Even resurrected OE could not accomplish what an average or historical OE would have done. This game is crowded as hell, especially in OE region, so it cant be suprising a player nation gets annexed at some point.
And BLOODY HELL, am i the only one who wants to see a reborn Byzantine Empire ala The Knights?...
