Minor countries

iam so hyped for this game and i know paradox wont fail us , but what do u think about the minor nations guys and which minor nation would u like to play .

My only concern is that minor nations wont be able to do anything i hope this is not right .

Do u think new countries can emerge ?? i mean rebels go against France in Africa and forming a new nation .

I just had a pretty good game as Brazil in HOI3. Minors are playable you just have to really think ahead and streamline. In this case I decided all I would build would be 3xMOU/MAR + 1xENG, CLs and CVs, massively keeping down the amount of tech to keep up to date. Because of the USA I knew I wasn't going to war until 41 giving me plenty of time for IC runs and still produce 30 divisions plus one 5CV, 10CL CTF. Once the Americans went to war with JAP I joined the commintern and started taking over south America. I ended with all of south America, pupetted Portugal, Spain and South Africa with a complete victory for the commintern. My CTF easily held its own against the Americans who kept trying to liberate Haiti, I sunk almost half the American fleet in two years!

Amazing u got me more excited XD . I tried to get into HOI3 but i just couldn't i ended up watching you-tubers .

Sweden obviously, already have a MP game planned with a folder of warplans for different countries and all US support in supplies and lend lease (He is throwing all other countries out the window for this).
Even written a propaganda speech about why there is a good reason to unite all the nordic countries.

A New Zealand invasion of Australia in HOI3 was always good for a laugh and once you had their IC you can better help out Japan with SEA & India.

The trick is you have to get them before they join the allies so you can annex them fully instead of them being a govt. in exile.

My biggest concern with minors is that you can see your allied AI battleplans (so you know how you can contribute to the offensives). I hope they include this.

Would like to play the Netherlands. Hoping to create loads of defenses in Holland to withstand the initial attack and hopefully British forces would be using it as a point of entry to engage the counter attack. Probably completely futile in which case focus on the Indonesian holdings and war with Japan.

I for one will be trying Thailand/Siam/whatever the game names them, just for the hell of it (I like playing Ayuthayya in EU, so that inspired me). Then I'll probably try either Turkey or some minor Slavic/Balkan nation.

I think it is alreadry quite minor friendly. I am not a good player, but as Com china, for example, was not difficult, to get all of actual china and beat the russians in the east front.
For example, as Saudi Arabia, you can get all arabic peninsula, iraq, persia, afganisan, turquey, and try to survive the russians.
As tibet, you can conquer china and India.
There's a guy who did a world conquest with Albania.

So, there are quite powerful. I would just change the techs stuff, like when you annex a country, you keep some of his techs, or gain more LS points.

Unfortunately it looks like they didn't put Egypt into the game. Which is weird, because Egypt had a great level of autonomy from Britons.
