Sorry for harassing the forum right now, but quick question.

If modding with the goverment (slidercheat "freedom") of a country different leaders & ministers appear in different times. I wonder if this is hardcoded or if its possible to find out when ministers appear&dissappear and maybe even change it. In my case im modding with a german goverment and would like to put up Wilhelm III earlier on than as he appear in the game (44 scenario something)

Start dates and End dates are not hardcoded, but you need to change them either in a savegame or in the ministers_ger.csv ...

36;Head of State;Wilhelm II;36;PA;Weary Stiffneck;High;M36;x
37;Head of State;Wilhelm III;42;PA;Benevolent Gentleman;High;M37;x

in a "normal" game ministers are activated every 1st of January ...

as to WHEN slider changes effect a new cabinet-member to take his place, I haven't the faintest clue

Intresting, but you mean the first numbers is their start date and the second (yellowed up) is their deathdate? Cause that´s not possible if Wilhelm III is able in the 44 scenario.

Regarding which minister takes the place when chaning cabinet is a hard nut to crack. Guess the only chanse to stir it up is to remove the other ministers in that category (and save them on a safe place so you dont crash the whole game or something missing ministers).

No, the first number is the unique ID for that specific minister.

The second number is when they appear.

OK, so I tried to change Wilhelm III appear-date to 36, but then HoI crashed at startup. I made the change in Excel and have had the same problem modding colors in HoI I. Have although forgot how to make the changes work, any idea to help me with?

Does anyone know also if you just can erase a number (aka a minister) or the game will crash then?

Ministers are assigned, when changing government type, by the ministers closest to the top that fit into the the political spectrum you've changed to. For example, if you have in your file, from top to bottom, a PA, a NS, and a FA, whenever your government changes to a rightist authoritarian state, the PA will take office. He will hold office through the four compatible government ideologies. This, of course, only applies to government changes through changing sliders. Coups and minister deaths work differently - coups change the other government's ideology to match yours, and the ministers to be as close to that ideology as is possible with their minister file. So, for example, if Mongolia coups Communist China in 1936, then CHC's existing ST ministers will be replaced with the LE ministers, as Mongolia is Leninist. On the death of a minister, the replacement will match the current government ideology as much as is possible. For example, if Japan has moved from being PA to being FA, and minister deaths will result in the first-from-the-top FA minister getting the job.

But is there any chanse to change the list of ministers? To put another minister higher up in the list to favor him or the game will reject this? Which leads to the other question if you can delete ministers to favor others, or the game will crash due to a different/missing numbers of ministers?
