mini-mod of sorts

I am going to try and make every state in the United States an idenpedent nation and let the continental 48 states fight it out for supremecy and than intervene it with world war 2, i was wondering if anyone has tried to do this and if anyone already had some states with leaders ,tech, etc...
Any suggestions would be appreciated

It is an old idea that has come up many times before...AFAIK, no-one has ever finished one.

I would do it as a mini/battle-scenario personally, I see the chances of one state taking all of the USA landmass as pretty unlikely...from a garrisoning perspective...and hence any major involvment in external affairs...but thats just me...

Also would many of the states even have sufficient IC to do anything if broken up?...

i thought about that, and I would have to use the AI event that gives off-map IC and resource production, I think the difficult part would be thinking up the leaders for each "country".

And as for the state conquering thing, I think it would be harder for like say Rhode Island compared to like California to win that, but if you had an alliance maybe like based on the region it would probably be more interesting.

maybe have 4 countries
CAL CSA TEX and USA
or 5 add a north central (north of texas)
that would be cool
not only what others have said but 48 countries in a free-for-all war would lag as hell

you bring up a good point by using regional warfare, a north south east west..... sorta thing, on a seperate note, how can i post pictures, i need people to make some leader pix
