Good..in last patch I was stack wiping 50 stacks of Ming's as Japan and it doesn't even phase them, they just re-merc up. Hopefully these professionalism mechanics make annihilating the AI who relies on mercs easier.
Ming isn't supposed to only be defeated by the player using a very specific and cheesy strategy of eating all around them while they conveniently ignore it.
First time I fired up with the new patch and DLC, I watched on observe for a while. Ming had collapsed completely by the mid sixteenth century.
Second time they're going strong. So sometimes they will thrive, sometimes they will collapse until some other nation picks up the mantle (although I've yet to see an AI actually re-form collapsed Ming China and start a new stable dynasty, I live in hope it'll happen one day).
I'm cautiously optimistic the balance is almost where it should be now.
