You failed to mention two problems.

Since Ming set EVERYTHING to province of interest so if they siege it. They WILL NOT revert control over to you for any reasons whatsoever. So if you want land access to other hordes such as uzbek/changtai. You have to race to siege it down first before Ming does.

Otherwise you are stuck with land that are closest to you and Oirat still block your western expansion route at least until truce expires at any rate.

If random number generator gods hate you enough to spawn a rebel in oirat province you took. They fight with full power in the mountain provinces you have as Mongolia while you have to overwhelm them while fighting 50% less effective. Even if you don't take land and only ducat. Ming get more of it because they did everything and you would be lucky to pay off your loan if you tried to fight.

It will slow your progress to be sure. However if RNG hate you enough. It will not matter if you play well or not. Because the other non-truce horde will dogpile you at some point.

Horde units are faster and Ming starts out farther. I really hope you are not seriously arguing that it's better to fight Oirat without Ming than it is to fight with Ming. I'm sorry for being harsh but there are way too many complaint threads with the same attitude of "it's not me it's the game." Yours just happens to be the latest example.

Here is an example of me playing as Mongolia 10 years in. Zero loan. The inflation is from taking money in peace deals mostly. I got really lucky Ming declared war on Korchen which brought Jianzhou/Oirat into it. Since I am still syndicate to Confucius it meant I had to roll with infantry which has only 4 pip vs 6 pip for cav in my army which meant for most part I dealt less damage and took on more during those initial wars.

I jumped on Korchen right as soon I was stable after northern war to take gold mine (absolutely must as a horde). Not a single territory was razed (need more development 300 minimum to trigger Ming disaster). You can see that I am blocked in by Oirat because Ming won't flip province of interest over to you which is terrible gameplay-wise. I could have took way more if I was able to jump on chagatai/uzbek.

They need to change it so that during independence wars they will allow giving you control if they don't have claim/cores regardless of province of interest.

Obviously this was a very lucky opening vs Korchen. I usually stall here or earlier and my economical prospect keeping get worse.

Keep in mind I also took a few provinces of wrong religious as well. So that is already a substantive drain (.43 missionary per month to clear those out) despite two of them being my core.

Ming should be required to spend more points to maintain stability. If Tributary somehow can provide large amounts of points to Ming, which doesn't make much sense, then it is very necessary to create another way for Ming to spend if.

man, this is not a brag
not sure what you mean, it is a brag

This is mostly to show what I can do with horde tribes in a relative short time and to disabuse people of "It is not the game; it is you!" attitude. Feel free to call it brag or not. I don't care much now.

Of course if Paradox ever fix the two stupid issues (Ming setting everything to province of interest regardless of the CB/war itself and rebel fighting with full power in mountain) it might be bit better.
