that should be a choice to the players and not the developers, besides warfare was an extremly important part of the classical age

But, the game is the game it is a typical PDS GSG, it is limited by its format, whereby the battles are as I described, they're not very immersive abstractions, they're not what PDS do well, they're what people play TW Warhammer for. Warfare was extremely important in every age, and so were many other factors, culture, religion, advances in technology etc

The strength and focus of PDS games is not warfare and never has been.
