I just noticed this - its all one can do as nothing else is allowed, but even so this is awesome. I never noted that from the DDs. Just with military access a player can seriously boost China and the Soviets without ever sending a single soldier into their meatgrinders.

Does a continuous railroad mitigate the losses of lend-lease along the Burma Road? I'm assuming there are losses since IRL [as I have heard] one third to one-half of everything send was lost either due to accidents, to spoilage [environmental damage] and of course corruption and theft.

I'm genuinely torn whether building rail roads in China helps them or Japan more.

One of my favourite strategies is to let Japan capitulate China and then capitulate Japan, so this could be potentially very useful.

As far as I know, railroad linkages do not impact lend-lease shipments delivered by land. And I also don't believe military access is required between your nation and the nation sending the lend-lease.

I think any path via land is good enough, just like it is for trading for resources, as long as there is a contiguous path through nations that you are at peace with. I don't believe that the theft, accident, or spoilage along the historical Burma Road is simulated in the game, so no need to build railroads just for that reason.

Yes, I have noticed it - I thought, that I should be in the faction, but no, only I need is military access. That help me a lot, when I played Sinkiang lastly and I wanted to restore Turkestan - I could prepare insfrastructure in one of the worst terrain in entire game for my future expansion.
