I am Milan. I am the one True Country. All the Rebels shall bow to Milan, soon, very soon.
But first, I need to orient myself. I have just been born, after all. Not the country, the conciousness that is Milan, that shows me I am the True Country. Milan before The Change was part of an Alliance, I find. England, Naples, Portugal, and Milan. I have a very small army, so I won't leave the alliance yet.
I build up my army. Infantry, Calvalry. I sense the knowlege of greater things coming, but I can't grasp it. Artillery. I feed the knowlege to my Countrymen.
The year is 1496. War breaks out between my allies and another alliance, France, Savoy, Papal States, Brittany, and Helvetia. I believe I have enough of an army to expand. I honor the alliance.
They know me. They come and try to destroy me. France, Savoy, Papal States, and Helvertia all leave the Milan army in shambles. No choice. I send France many shiny pieces which I am very fond of. They help build armies. They accept, and leave me alone. I rebuild.
September 1st, 1505. I look to Parma. They're in an alliance, too. I cannot defeat the entire alliance. I send gifts to the rest of the alliance, hoping for the best, and declare war. No-one helps Parma. I call upon my allies just in case. After all, they had me destroyed earlier. Parma is easily defeated in one battle, only using half my army. As of June 13th, 1506, I've doubled the size of myself.
I take 9 years to build up more strength, I can because I have 2 Provinces. I look to Tuscany. I send my newly found fleet to check it's true strength. They're weaker than a Golden Hordesman without a rusty, yet pointy, spear.
5/15/1515. It's a sign. I declare war on Tuscany. Luca is painfully easy to take. I reposition troups in Modena, and they revolt. On October 10, the revolt is crushed. I move south to Florence. Tuscany is now Milan, September 21, 1516.
On January 1st, 1518, Luca is revolting, and smelly. The recognized Leaders of Milan(Idiots, they're lucky I'm here) make a speech, telling the people of Luca so, and Luca is up in arms. Milanmen crush this, of course.
February 1st. I've listened to motivational speakers in Milan. To succeed in anything, you must set goals. Small steps toward the true goal. Europe in the true goal. My first step, will be to take over Italy.
August 1st. Florence revolts. Easily crushed.
January 14th, 1519. Ragusa and Hungary declare war against Austria, England, Naples, and Portugal. I hold up my end of the bargain, and declare war with them. They'd have to walk through Austria to get to me.
April 21st, Navarra, Spain, and Genoa enter the war! I can beat up Genoa! But, that would gain me nothing, as I could not take the capital without having every province of Genoa. I let Austria go after them. Genoa pays to remove Austria from Genoa, and the threat to Milan is gone.
January 10th, 1520. Portugal is as weak as an Englishman without a longbow. Navarra takes Oporto from them, permanently. Sad.
April, and September, 1520. Repeated revolts in Luca. Always bashed back into the dust from which it came.
November 4th, 1520. The war with Hungary is over. I find it humorous that they took back Pest. I wish they'd fight against the Turks, who I can't touch yet. I hate Moslems. Catholic is the religion of the True Country. I still fight against Navarra and Spain.
January 4th, 1521. France, Savoy, and Scotland declare war with Genoa, Spain, and Navarra. Ha! They'll never survive. They're weaker than Portugal.
September 23rd,, 1523. I forgot who I was supposed to be fighting. Ah yes, Navarra and Spain.
Spain starts attacking my coastal provinces. I send out my might fleet of 3 ships. They lose, but all ships remain intact. I put them back in port, then send them out again! I win the battle! 3 against 5 better equiped ships! I really AM Mighty Milan. I ask for a white peace, so they'll stop killing my men needlessly. They agree. Navarra and I soon get a 36 month White Peace, and I'm out of all the wars. They were boring me, anyway. Nowhere to attack. July 10, 1526.
Friday, February 13th, 1527. Helvetia changed religion to Protestant. I declare now. They rush at me, and take the province of Milan! I use my strange powers to make everyone fall asleep, and the Milano Armies from the south marched into Milan and killed them in their sleep. Then, went on to Helvetia and besieged it.
Happy Christmas to me! We annex Helvetia on December 25th, 1527. Milan is now from Helvetia to Florence, through Luca, Modena, and of course, Milan. I set my sights on the Papal States, and wait... rebuilding... and waiting...
