Then what do you call the areas in the former county of london?

People in London don't care about these things.

Zone 1-2 = London. Zone 3-4 = Wannabe Londonders on the cheap. Zone 5-6 = Wannabe Londoners on the cheaper (usually). Zone 7-9 = Not Londoners but some call themselves Londoners. Some Zone 3-6 areas are nice though And not very cheap. But still, not London

I'd be more likely to believe you if you hadn't used an obviously out of date map to illustrate your point - the East London Line closed in 2007.
