This has to be a problem that has been complained about constantly since Stellaris was released. Why was it never fixed? I refuse to believe it has to do with any sort of engine limitations that would disallow Paradox's amazing development crew from fixing such a game breaking issue. I have never finished a full game of Stellaris. Ever. I've played on maps of all sizes, the small maps pretty much impossible to immerse myself in. Eventually the game comes to a standstill that makes the game impossible to enjoy. The problem is most certainly not my 6 core, 3600Mhz processor, but I've heard it said that Stellaris' engine supports only one thread. How irresponsible if this is the case, though I've never heard the devs admit this. I love Stellaris, it's a wonderful game, but I'm curious, who here actually makes it to the late game? Who has actually encountered the late game crisis' and found the game playable by then? I watch Aspec on Youtube play to the late game, but surely his processor can't be that much better than mine, and if it's a single processor threading issue then that would make the processing capability essentially moot. I don't have this problem with any other of Paradox's games or any CPU intensive game for that matter. I had hoped that the way the game handles pops in 2.2 would better mitigate the issue, and it had, for about 40 extra years noticeably, but I have yet to complete a game.

Are there any definitive fixes for this issue besides buying a "better" processor? Any workarounds? My game comes to a halt by about 2350. I usually get so frustrated that I give up by year 2280. Has anyone found any solutions? It doesn't seem like it. When will Paradox fix this issue? Will it ever be fixed? I would very much appreciate a response from one of the devs if that were possible.
