the 3 province limit is for diplomatic vassalisation-you can vassalise much larger countries in peace negotiations.

Any, but preferably one with 50% cost for forced vassalization.

I've vassalized a 1399-sized burgundy before, for example (as Austria, with the Subjugation CB).

Having a CB is incredibly important for a cost reduction though, since vassalization is rather expensive by default.

uh cool could you point at the direction I have to go to get that mod(or a guide how to do that)

Would someone please explain to me how to have large vassals? If you can't vassalize nations larger than 3 provinces, and if no one will take HRE soil you offer for free if they don't have cores on the territory, then how is the above even possible?

EDIT: I did recognize he may be playing on Heir only, but still, is this possible on 5.1?

I supposed this is me you are talking about, almost all of my vassals have been a result of me demanding territory from other states and then release new states hence why it is Styria, Aquilia and Wurttemberg instead of Austria, Venice and Bavaria. And Danzig instead of Prussia

Although other countries(all of the Balkans) have been wars that resulted in me who first forced religion(and sometimes some territory to get them down in size) on them and the next one I forced vassalage on them. You could do alot of what I did faster if you dont want to make Europe orthodox.
although who wants to do that and one of the downsides from not forcing religion is that you can end up in war with your own vassals because it gets DoTF. Transylvania learned that the hard way when it suddenly was invaded by 50000 angry Russians because it came to the defense of another catholic nation.

Regarding releasing vassals. the reason I did it this way is because I get to burn a bit infamy off by creating vassals instead of forcevassalizing left and right. and infamy is something I had to balance a lot because in order for me to strengthening my vassals I had to demand territory with no cores or anything on.

Also I didnt release vassals in eastern europe since it would wreck my neat borders, also I dont have Royal Marriages with any of them since I could end up inheriting one of them And I dont want more land.
