Mid-Sale Steam Price Hike

Yesterday, Stellaris was 66% off. Today it's 33% off. What gives? I thought Steam was doing away with daily deals. I was looking forward to buying Stellaris for a little cheaper, I mean I already spent something like $140 on Paradox games this year; I don't even know. In any case, it's pretty disappointing to see this kind of thing happen. I'm guessing they mistakenly put 66% instead of 33%? Should have just rolled with it.

Yes , I wanted to buy it yesterday but I wasnt able because I had a problem but today I managed to buy a 20 euro paysafecard only to find out that Stellaris is 26 euros vs 20 as it was yesterday :/ .

It is very annoying. I was going to buy 2 copies of Stellaris through Steam as Christmas gifts. Now I have to either go via a site like cdkeys, or buy something else for them.

I wouldn't get Stellaris, It's neither interesting or complex. It's a weird mix of everything that ends up doing nothing right. On top of that they are now just straight up lifting mechanics from civilization, that confirms to me that Paradox is too damn lazy to make a decent game because they are pretty much the only Developer making games in this genre.

If you want something space themed, try Distant Worlds Universe, it's on sale atm.

Well I think yesterday, EU4 dlc's was not on sale and then, towards the end of the day around 21:00 CET or so everything went on sale. Remember cause I was salty that rights of man wasn't on sale and I was just gonna buy without sale but decided to wait to see if anything actually would happend and it did(yay).

This is an intensely subjective opinion and in all honesty you've picked the exact wrong place to express it if you expect sympathy or agreement- it's fine that you dislike the game and its design choices, but you can't expect to voice that opinion (and it is just an opinion) and get any sort of positive reaction on a subforum populated primarily by people who do enjoy the game.

When I saw the sale I was confused, mainly because the sales seemed to be organized wrong. I think they had a mix up when they first set them up because the nova edition was cheaper than the standard edition. I think they were just fixing that.

In all honestly, the current price is a bit more reasonable compared the the generous offering at 66% off. I mean, it is a fairly new game and I'm sure I'd get a lot out Stellaris.

I'm still going to wait for the price to drop, though, as I've already spent too much on other stuff.
