My trusty old Macbook Air is on it's way out and I'm looking into replacing it with a Microsoft Surface Laptop. Does anyone have any experience running EU4 or Victoria on a Surface Laptop with the i5 or i7 processor?

I realize this is not the best system, but I'm sure you can tell from my previous computer that I don't care much about gaming performance. I travel a lot for work and the CK2/EU4 are really the only games I play. My old Macbook ran CK2 well enough, but EU4 was borderline unplayable and I really want my next computer to be able to run EU4 (and preferably also Victoria 2).

Minor lagging and/or resolution issues don't bother me, I just want to make sure it would be able to run EU4 at a playable framerate (my air runs EU4 at close to 1 frame / 2 seconds, which is infuriating).

Any feedback on your experiences or tips would be appreciated.

Thank you! :)

Eu4 and CK2 run fine on my Surface Pro 3 i5 1.9GHz. The games slow a bit near the end, but still playable. Changing graphics settings might help a bit. Running other stuff at the same time seems to slow things down a bit, but otherwise it's fine.
Haven't played Vicky2 on it on awhile, but I seem to remember it working fine. Probably better than the newer games.
